There's a rematch between Lei Lei and Xu scheduled for 2021. Lei Lei insisted that the fight takes place in brazil. When Xu asked why he wants to fight in Brazil, Lei Lei responded by saying something to the effect of "Because I wont be arrested when I kill you in the ring." To which Xu replied "Okay, we'll fight in Brazil."

The story of Xu Xiaodong should be used as an example of being an "agent of change," it is very difficult for people to change. Especially old men, who are set in their ways, who have dedicated much of their lives training their particular martial arts. After all old habits die hard and egos bruise easily until they are humbled and they must be eager to learn. Fortunately, the head master of the karate dojo where I trained, encouraged me to learn another martial art after I earned my 1st degree black belt. I signed up in a mixed martial arts gym where my senpai said not to go because he said, "it is filled with killers." I knew that I had to go and check it out, and it has been one year since I first walked through the front door and I am still training there.

Don't know about humble. There was some preening after that first fight, and the second, and probably most of his fights. He also doesn't seem to have reacted to victory with humility. A humble man would probably have given us some great lines about how he figured that the other master had a bad day and offer a second fight, or perhaps the master was to old, but could provide a younger opponent. I don't speak Chinese so I don't know about the call outs, but it doesn't sound like he was humble in his calling people frauds. Not really saying that he should have been humble or that humble is good or bad, just that he probably isn't humble.

Funny how in the Ip Man movies, the Chinese Kung fu master is humble and often beaten down and oppressed before going up against his opponent and having the odds stacked against him by those in charge, but ultimately winning against their opponent anyways with their superior skill and discipline. ...and then in reality, Xu Xiaodong had his own government treat him like the villains do in those movies. Because communists are great at projection and accusing their enemies of doing everything they do themselves, to look good

I like the Ip Man movies, but yeah they project SUPER hard. This Mad Lad is not only an absolute Mad Lad, but a hero for standing up against the Chinese government and the status quo. I really respect this guy even though I really like Kung Fu movies, really interesting to see how these Martial arts stack up in real fight though. He would be a villain in a Wing Chun movie , but what I respect him most for is still keeping going even after probably the worst Cancelling I ever seen. Depending on the type of soil you could indeed still find intact bones, though they would be very frail and possibly incomplete. I've excavated bronze age era sheep bones from soil that was full of clay before. They crumble easily but are still recognizable as bones, as are the teeth. We're talking 800 BC and older here.
