I only play chess casually (trying to improve) but just looking at their expressions (especially the dude in the White, I don’t know who is who) you can tell the amount of dedication it took getting here and how much it meant to both of them. Yeah this both had a heartbraking game with Ups and Downs but at all 3 players really had a heartbreak fabi, nepo and nakamura. People saying naka dont care , he really cared about getting to challenge in WC. He was emotional in his stream after candidates last round. 🥺🥺 Hope these 3 get a chance in winning the WC and heldimg the ultimate Title "World Champion". Hope They come back Stronger than every. gg to the champions 🙂

Brutal for Fabiano. This may have been his last shot and if so he will probably be the highest rated player ever who couldn't become champion. He played so well in the last four games up to that point too.

Guys!!! Let's make an anime out of this year's candidates, the emotions in this are too good. The pain, the anxiety, the stress, the anger, the relief, the joy and unexpectedness!!!

A chess anime could be really great if it actually touched on the real heartbreaks of chess. But you know it's most likely to be garbage like "He doesn't know I'm seeing 39 moves ahead....hahaha! Wait....what's this? He saw....oh no! He saw 40 moves ahead!"

It's funny in a cynical way. GMs try to play like chess bots, but they're only human. They go through so much exhaustion having to play for hours, constantly concentrating and stressing over each next move. Not to mention the many years and decades of dedication to even reach this point. Both needed to win. Heartbreaking that this tie means they both lose for this tournament. I hope they're able to shake this one off and keep playing their hearts out! And hey, now they can relax at the very least. Their love and passion for chess shows and is appreciated throughout this community. And I'm glad to see some humility from them here. They deserve all the respect and admiration.
