Magnet Fishing has to be the best hobby ever! Today we went magnet fishing at the same spot where I found a bag of stolen diamonds. I lost one of the biggest diamonds so I wanted to see how much more we could find and if I could find our lost diamond.

It's been a year since I was last at this spot where I lost a diamond almost immediately after finding it. Everyday since then, Joopie and Wim have never let me forget about it so it's about time we went back to try and restore some dignity 😂💎Here's the link to the first video where I lost the diamond: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fouVi5h_pt9reaM but it was another awesome day magnet fishing at this spot again! I think a Jewelry store must have been robbed and a lot of stuff was dumped in the river here afterward but it's just unbelievable how much is in the water!! I was confused about the cards. Isn't it possible that they correspond to some of the stones you have? Also, I wonder if a small brush might help you find the stone you lost year? Brushing all the surface material into a zip look and examining it at home on a white surface might work?? ❤

Go back after dark with a UV light. Diamonds fluoresce under black light. Might make it easier to spot.

You should hand the gem cards into the police as maybe finger prints. It would also help the victim prove total loss for insurance.

I'm a silver and goldsmith as well as a gem cutter. Somewhere around 30% of diamonds glow under a UV light, 99% of the time they glow blue but can also glow white green yellow or red. I would say use some darkness and a black light to look for that lost diamond. I hope you find it!! Love the adventures with all of you. :)

If you know about where you dropped the stones, use the sunlight to help you find them. Get the sun on one side and you stand on the opposite side of the area. Use the glint from the stones and glass to hone in on the items you lost. I've done it before after I lost a Peridot and recovered it. Good luck!

To find the diamond you want to go back at dusk/dark and use a torch, the cut diamond will catch the light. Try light from above and also at a 45 degree angle to the ground. When I drop cut stones under my work bench when I’m stone setting I immediately hit the lights and get my phone torch out, makes them easy to spot! Hope you find it!x

I'd love it if you found the stone you dropped; I gasped with horror when I saw it happen! It might be a pink topaz, a tourmaline, pink sapphire - these days there are so many different coloured stones out there. Gotta ask though - you refer to it as a diamond, is there something that leads you to believe it is? I'm curious! Your videos crack me up, you had me on my butt laughing, the one when Wim sprays you in the face and you got bird poop on your hands and muck on your legs... it just kept on coming. So funny. Wim's laugh is infectious and how you all play off each other is priceless.

You need to bring a rechargeable vacuum and try that to find the diamond

Try a hand held ultra violet light to search for the missing diamond

25:22 Dig up the top two inches of soil in that area (at least 1-2 M²) and take it home. Make sure to get into the grassy area as well. The stone could have been moved by rain but hopefully trapped in the root system. Make a frame with some fine window screening and wash the soil over a bucket, agitate, and sift the soil as you wash it.

It’s too late now, but if you had a fairly good idea where you dropped the diamond, I would have put a small amount of gas on the grass in the area, and burn the grass down to the soil. Make sure you don’t start a bigger fire. With the grass gone, shine a flashlight on the area; looking for a reflection off the diamond.

Id get a portable shop vac and suck up all the dirt and gravel i could then run it thru classifers and a gold pan then pick and search. Like the guy that vacumes the cracks in new york for gold and diamonds. Good luck and great videos.

Try using a good UV light to find that gem. Night might be better too.

You should scan the area with a UV or Black Light, the gem may glow under that light at night.

Seems you all need stronger magnets. You will need a high power magnifing glass to find that diamond since it's been over a year and that it washed away. May want tio open bags on a cloth or something .
