People denying the holocaust is so insane to me. I'm german, I talked to so many older people (survivors and former Wehrmacht soldiers) and heard horrible stories from every single one. We also all visit the places of the old concentration camps in school. Even though nothing much of the one I've seen was left standing, it's the most chilling, uncomfortable place I've ever been to.

As a German it always baffles me, for the lack of a better term, when people actually try to deny the holocaust. Millions of people lost their lives during that time, there are still people alive that witnessed it themselves, survivors as well as Wehrmacht soldiers. You can come here and visit the Concentration Camps. How can anybody just go "Nah, that didn't happen"?! When I was in 7th Grade we actually went to the Camp in Dachau, near Munich, it was the first one built. It literally was the most uncomfortable place I've ever been to. The walls were built on nothing but disgust for everything that's happened there. People like Kanye, and to a lesser degree someone like Kyrie Irving, really just make me insanely angry and sad at the same time. That now sounds hella selfish, but I'm really glad I never enjoyed any of his stuff.

I get that as a German descendant as well. Their is more to this story though. For one theirs the Jewish role in slave ships. Also in media where many made the contracts with black artists and screwed them. I feel exactly the same - sad and angry. I visited the Concentration Camp in Mauthausen with my class a few years ago. Mauthausen is the biggest Camp in Austria and i remember how uncomfortable and miserable i felt during my visit there. It completely frustrates me that someone would voluntarily call himself a Nazi and express his sympathy towards Hitler while not having the slightest clue what he is talking about. I have never understood the stupid argument "it wasn't 6 million people". How many was it then and how do you know? It’s really hard seeing how the world is just declining. It’s crazy how as kids we see everyone as people, we’d be friends with everyone in class and hearing about racism growing up it seemed fake or something that was hundreds of years ago. I’ve never been able to understand racism or poor treatment of people just because of who they are when they have no control. I really thought things were much better but now that I’m an adult it’s sad seeing how bad it really still is. In portuguese class you'd read books about it, in english you'd do like group projects or visit museums, do research, etc. At least my teachers did those things. Those were only the victims in the countries they conquered during WW2, they caused many more deaths due to the bombing of civils in the UK, especially London, as well as soldiers (but that's expected in war). The nazis managed to kill this many people because their death camps for the holocaust were literal murdering factories that automized killing millions and concentration camps worked their prisoners to death. I suggest you read Maus by Art Spiegelman, it's an amazing comic by a survivor of Auschwitz.

It’s real simple: much like you have the freedom to spout whatever you want, everyone else has the freedom to think you’re an idiot, and companies have a right to cut ties from any brand deals they have with him as it would be harmful to the company to stay, etc.
