Don't forget to wear a belt on the outside of your waders to keep the water out and also to help you float in case you fall over and can't get up.

You could take your kayak out there while wading & toss the stuff you find into it, maybe use one of the small anchors on it to keep it from drifting

What's nice about the head mount camera is what you see, we see. It works pretty nicely! I also think it would be worth your while to do the waders in the warm weather. That way you won't be so worried about falling of the deep end. lol

I had a little mouse lure like that back in the '70s. Fished it in little ponds. Caught a few little bass with it, but mainly just looked cool in the tackle box. Thanks for the memories!

If you get a walking staff and put a lanyard on it you can check for holes and stop offs while wading. With the lanyard you can just let it hang or float. That wedge you found looks like atoothr off a excavator bucket.

If and when you use your waders buy a walking stick so you know how deep it is , make sure you drill a hole in the top part and put a piece of nylon so if you slip you don't lose your stick, sorry for the length

OOOOHHH You got me with the spider in the hole thing... LOL kewl finding those small magnets. I would be less worried about ripping the waders, those can be replaced, I would be more worried about getting tetanus if something pierced your boot and broke the skin. I envy you your low current river, everywhere i go I seem to hit really strong currents, some places so strong that it lifts m,y magnet off the bottom when I pull it

Co2 cartridges are found on air pistols. I remember when I was elementary school we used to make wooden cars and at the back we would bore out a hole so we can install the cartridge, and make a launch platform that was spring loaded with a metal spike that would puncture the cartridge sending our wooden car down the road.
