Some people care about pinch welds cause when you bend them, you can end up spider cracking the undercoating and water can seep in and start rusting the pinch welds and eventually the body. But I don't think AJ needs to worry about pinch welds rusting on this hoopty when the rear quarter is basically gone.

The only reason I don't care about that mangled pinch weld is because I can tell the rear strut towers are 1000% cheeched based on that quarter panel rust. I took my old car apart that was rusted like that and there were H U G E holes in the strut towers. I was surprised the struts didn't come through. These cars are really great, the engine will take almost unlimited abuse.

Did you ever change the fuel pump relay and main relay. Many cars have a pgmfi or main relay that does exactly what's going on and u have to cycle the key like that to get it to work again
