Abstract Art Journal Page - Mixed Media Intuitive Painting

🌞Creating abstract and intuitive paintings is so much fun. I totally get into a flow and I am just focusing on the painting process. There is no thinking or planning, just painting and enjoying all those beautiful colors. I truely believe that EVERYONE can paint! There is absolutely no drawing experience needed. Today I am using watercolor pencils, a little bit of acrylic paint and Crayons. You don't need any fancy or new art supplies! You can use what you have!

The microphone is much better. Your voice is much clearer. I have a very bad shoulder injury and have not been able to do much artwork since May. However, I went back to your first abstract watercolor page and found that I was able to do that and it was very relaxing. I have really been enjoying these videos. Thank you

Love your voice. It’s soothing. Derwent by chance is the first watercolor pencil I ever tried. Their other products are fantastic too and worth the price. Luckily our local San Francisco art supply stores let me buy them one at a time!

I love your finished piece, as aways....and I have never had a problem hearing you on your videos (just and fyi). I have noticed you use a lot of Schmincke Sap Green, as you said it was one of your favorites, I was wondering if you could tell me where I can buy it, I have looked several times and still have not found it as of yet. Thanks for all your videos, I love watching them all and love your style of art. I have a lot of practicing to do with water colors.... LOL

I like your videos and the whole idea of intuitive art. My only question is this: in art journaling in general, people paint, glue etc, and then proceed to cover it up with another layer (and another….) and the whole process seems to lack any plan; it just meanders along. As I said I like this method, as well as abstract collage but I don’t “understand” (it’s not like painting a portrait where the goal is capture the likeness of the sitter, or a “still life” - what am I missing? Please be kind enough to respond. Thank you.

I know exactly what you mean! I love it and am going to be doing some mixed media pages. I saw another KZbin gal that did one page with all the layers and the same page without all the layers. If done "right" the layers do show through and give you a very cool depth and shadows. Where the page without the layers was somewhat flat looking. That video I am speaking of really showed me why the layers.
