Love. All the information you share. I never realized how important thumbnail sketches are, but i can see how much it helps to use one. I love the way you paint and how exuberantly you bring that across to your viewers❤

Gwen, I just found your video series and it has been so interesting to observe this process with you! I love how this painting sort of took on a life of it's own as you thoughtfully directed it into it's final form.

Miss G, isn't it helpful to see another artist's journey? Much can be gleaned by witnessing the choices and courage of a fellow creative. How many times did you "ruin" that painting before hitting your mark? What fun your inner dialogue must be. I find the inner communion to be the prize, don't you? A successful painting is a wondrous hit of joy yet I am never happier than communing with my Wise Inner Self. You are real on video and I appreciate that as well. You have much knowledge and much to share and I am grateful beyonds words to be included in your circle.

Hi Gwen: This was fun! You are a brave woman to tackle an abstract in front of the camera -who knows how long it might take to get resolved!! I would love to see how you did the drippy stage. Also, if you could let us know if you are working on a wet, tacky or dry painting, it would be really helpful. Looking forward to seeing more demos!

Hi Gwen, loving these videos after settling in to slowly looking at the. Can you tell me what you based your thumbnail sketch on….was it the photo of the people/ballet photo ?
@GwenFoxArtist3 жыл бұрын
Gill....this is such a great question and thank you for asking it. I based my thumbnail sketch on number one...where was my center of interest going to be and then how was I going to take the viewer to this center of interest plus what were my support shapes. With this determined I did a quick sketch...as you saw...and proceed with the painting. I know this is vague but th is how I start. First and foremost the center of interest. Please feel free to personally contact me for more information at gwen@gwenfox.com
