I am an alcohol ink painting addict, zero questions. My fluid art style uses the colors and rhythms of nature to create a meditative escape from the chaos of everyday life. I love to play with color, composition, texture, new techniques, brands, and collaborating with other alcohol ink artists; this medium is seriously the best. I started my alcohol ink art journey several years ago as a way to escape the chaos of my everyday life; little did I know, it would take me on the best journey of my life. The best part about working with alcohol ink is, that you're never fully in control. Working with ink is 50% luck and 50% technique. Sure, I use basic art practices like color theory, composition, contrast, etc. but every time I paint I never quite know what the finished product will look like until it is done. It keeps it interesting! Thank you for watching and following me in on my art journey.

I don’t keep track of the colors I use but I do have swatch videos of all the Copic colors I have and other brand color swatches available on this channel that you can view to help you decide what colors to use and purchase for your own work.

Hi Meghan, I don’t know which color I used for this particular painting it was so long ago. I use mostly Trex inks, Copic and Ranger Tim Holtz inks

Thank you. Mandy, my piñata brass or gold always blends through the coloured ink and never clumps like this…any tips for getting it to clump would be most appreciated.

I make sure to mix it really well to start and then using the metal needle nose bottle tip seems to concentrate it to the location I want - try using the Tim Holtz alloys instead - they’re much more pigmented

Yes, Everything in the piece is made with alcohol ink
