I'm so fucking determined to become an artist; I've such a passion for art. I'm good only in sketching portraits and drawing my own comic characters. That doesn't make me happy. Happiness is this - being able to create an abstract thing out of random lines, angles, oh, well anything that surpasses the imagination!!!
@chips.3927

I envy the ability of yours I have the ability of creating abstract things but it is difficult for me to create comic characters, oh how dissapointing our desire is, eh?

I think when you are an artist it's less about making yourself happy and more about fulfilling your purpose. Don't get the two confused. But don't let that stop you from doing some abstract work on the side, it lifts me up when I do that. You never know, maybe you are able to express what you want in the abstract and make more of a shift to doing that

My heart started to beat REALLY fast as the process progressed and turned into something of deep harmony. As someone who never ever liked abstract art - I wanted to sell my apartment and needed some attractive art that could be liked by as many potential buyers as possible. I read that abstract was the best. I started to look at thousands and thousands of paintings and posters and then found myself feeling a little harmony when looking at some, but very conflicted and chaotic - at others. Then I started to see certain patterns, then started to see what color combinations are the most pleasant. Then some of them had good colors but bad technique or vice versa. 99.9% of them were always missing something. It felt like they didn't have any theme, purpose, goal but were painted just for the sake of painting. As someone without any art education I just followed my heart. So I haven't found the One at all but I realized that I actually enjoy the right abstract art. I just found this video and, oh, my God - this is IT! I can't stop looking at it and love it sooo much!!! And the great thing is I can practice and paint it myself. So much harmony, structure and at the same time spontaneity. And fantastic colors. Thank you so very much, Suraj! Liking (Loving) and subscribing.

Just depends on how you feel. I find that when I make art I eventually get to a point where I just need to take a break and come back to it later. Sometimes you decide to add more, sometimes you decide to cover something up or remove something, sometimes you feel it's finished. Hell, I've gone back to works years later and decided I wanted to change it so I do.

Ooohhh my goodness, beautiful. O-N-L-Y an artist can make globs of paint and a trowel produce something so unique. I say unique because this painting can not be duplicated exactly, only something similar. I wish I was younger (my hands shake too much now) so I could rush to the store buy what I think he used and give myself a chance at making something I would hang on my wall. When this started out I thought, oh oh this is something I might not hang on my wall, to DAMN, I would pay good money to have and proudly present in my home. Artist like you are simply amazing at creating timeless pieces for us admirers. Thank you

you make this look so intuitive, its incredible. i struggle so much with abstract art but i want to learn
@maxwellmccoy1815
@maxwellmccoy1815 4 жыл бұрын
Kristian Quist i disagree. you still need an understanding of composition and color to make abstract look good. saying theres no learning involved is an insult to the artist imo. and besides that, im saying i struggle with abstract bc i dont like the results i get when i try. so even if its only personal taste, i need to learn what it is about abstract that i like, so that i can feel proud of the result.

Kristian Quist if you dont appreciate abstract art, which seems to be pretty evident, why bother watching this video, or replying to someone who obviously does appreciate it. i'm done, have a nice day.

@@maxwellmccoy1815 you should be done because as an artist myself he explained it fully, you are thinking too hard when it comes to abstract art, I get you and your interest and wanting to learn the different colors and techniques and that’s understandable for a pure portrait artist at times but abstract was mostly constructed to be underground not mainstream a different technique built from YOUR subconscious for you to just blindly inhabit no rules and no boundaries, just go blind and turn your brain off and pick up a brush and colors and let the lord guide your hand to create something magical, something that comes from within that’s imbedded inside of you, anyway my two cents, I’m done, I hope you succeed in life and your art

@@kristianquist2697 That's not even remotely true! I used to think the same thing about abstract art, but making good abstract art is the most difficult thing to do well. Just because it's abstract doesn't mean it's random or accidental.

I loved your painting, Suraj! I am a layman when it comes to art, but in my judgement, this art is as good as a Jackson Pollock, Piet Mondrian or a Wassily Kandinsky painting. Long live the abstract art!
