The lady reminds me of an 80’s era Stevie Nicks and the imagery would certainly fit with her whole Welsh witch vibe. I held my breath at about 4:55 when you applied the dripping blue-grey ink over her right cheek. It would have frightened me at that stage as it could all go so horribly wrong - clearly it didn’t!

@DonnaFoxy yes, the paint needs to be slightly wet for it to work. Sometimes I'll have too much water on the canvas and I'll use a blow dryer at the same time. That's how I did the white drips. I use water to help the paint drip down the canvas, then I use the hair dryer and rubbing alcohol intermittently.

@@lydiabroderick867 wow the blow dryer may be the secret. I've tried that with just alcohol before but didn't get those results. I think maybe the paint was too wet and just washed the alcohol away

Unsplash.com is a great resource for royalty free reference photos. I never took classes for portraiture, but I'm sure there are a lot out there. I teach some portrait techniques on my Patreon (facial proportions, skin tones etc). However, a lot of artists swear by the Loomis method. That could be helpful to look into. 😊
