Saw him in Berlin. In my opinion the band is unnecessarily big so dynamics are lost.

That's so accurate! It's what I've been trying to figure out about the live performances since the new album was released.. All is there but at the same time it isn't as it was before. Might be a conceptual choice because of the last album's thematics, ideia and arrangements but I guess as a show it does not work as good. Would go and watch live again anyways when I have a new chance

I did think the band was big. I was at this show and the sound was excellent. So perhaps it was an issue with the venue. 3 horns, Guitar, bass, Keys, drums, and FJM could have been quite fine. It definitely worked better on some songs than others.

I think I get where you're coming from, but the thing is I like how progressively bigger he gets every album, specially on the arrangements of the older songs. Although I'd have to admit those basically morphed into new songs, which I happen to enjoy even more
