I feel like a lot of the songs are Tyler trying to convince himself that he doesn’t need this girl, he’s got everything he wants at hand, but in the end he accepts that she’s hurt him and he really liked her and can finally move on

I just can’t help but compare tracks like WILSHIRE to IGOR and find the blatant almost stream of consciousness style story telling in his latest tracks so much less engaging than the genius executed in his previous record. The way he reveals information in IGOR feels so much more deliberate and is amazing for re-listens and reevaluations of the content in those songs.

People also don't get why he adopted the nickname "Baudelaire". Charles Baudelaire was a known 19th century poet, who wrote "Les Fleurs Du Mal". It this book, he writes poems about gore and weird things, like d3ad bodies, satan, woman, and a bunch of other edgy things, and he is making art with those topics. This could be compared to the early days of Tyler, when he just talked about edgy stuff and made music with it. And to top it off, a recuring subject in Baudelaire's "Les Fleurs du Mal" is the theme of traveling, and in this theme of traveling, the presence of a woman is seen as necessary by Baudelaire, hence why Tyler made a whole album about traveling, and also traveling with a woman.

All the argument over what era is the best, like all of them are great in their own ways. One thing that I think is also important in “I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE” is towards the end when they sing together, its almost as if they are talking to each other. Admitting that it was the right person but the wrong time. But when the time does come that they are willing to dance with each other and not to forget each other when even when they have someone else, waiting for the perfect moment where they are both able to have what they had. It’s sad but beautiful that they are willing to remember what they had and hold onto it when the time is right. Where they can finally be the right person at the right time.

Bro, I thought you did an amazing job breaking down and explaining every bit of this album, which is truly amazing. I think it's his best work yet. Each album gets better and better, but this call me if you lost is extremely incredible. Your synopsis on it was perfect and spot on great job. I hope you add this or do another one to The Estate Sale!!

Great review, I would of loved to hear a analysis of the beats as well and how they played an intricate role into the symbolic meanings behind the lyrics and also the breakdown of the titles like “Massa” a form of Black speech used by enslaved African Americans to refer to their Masters. That would of been cool. But maybe that’s for another vid. Great Job overall doe.🙏🏾👏🏾 keep it up
