All these tik toks are about men abusing women. So yea more percentage of men are abusive than women. I wouldn't have said this above line but I said it cuz i dont like how you people start saying "men have to go through this too" where ever it shows struggles of women in general. It goes to show that you guys think that this video is showing only struggles of women and it should show struggles of men too, but you guys forget that struggles are struggles despite the gender, so stop thinking like that. I sometimes feel like you guys don't even like it when there are videos on women's struggling because of men so you come defending like "men go through this too"- this line ain't gonna help any women in this video We know every one goes through struggle. Why don't you write "men goes through this too" in child abuse videos, cuz there ain't no women as the victim. And you won't see such things in video where men struggles are shown, no one writes "women goes through this too" in a video showing men's struggles. Cuz we are in support of the victim. My brother asked me why I didn't leave my ex bf. I replied "idk tbh idk.." he then says "sometimes we don't leave toxic/abusive relationships because we hold on to that memory of what it WAS like. We have that hope to get that feeling of being happy with that person again because somewhere deep down inside you love them or something about them and want things to get better. And it's really fking tough to break from that. So try to break from those chains that are holding you back. You'll be a lot happier." He's 3 years younger than me. I took his advice and left. He is also a Leo and a 3 on the Enneagram where as I'm a Gemini and a 9 on the Enneagram. I'm also slowly, very slowly, discovering and believing in myself and my self worth and starting to put up boundaries, which will sometimes be met with "The Devil's Advocate" as he calls it when we are talking sometimes. I'm going to go to a few CoDa meetings, but I also don't believe he is a bad person and I don't want to keep comparing him to the past... I love him so much and he has even told me he wants to marry me and will go through the traditional method of even asking my dad for my hand in marriage.

But they are like a drug, the anger you feel when something bad happens is so overwhelming that in that very moment you are done, your done with how they treat you and getting blamed saying it’s your fault, then you leave, you calm down, you miss their touch, their voice and you believe them when they say they love you and they don’t want things to be over and the cycle continues again, and again until you feel broken, unfixable, unloveable, lost and alone and sometimes just numb, you almost accept your fate with them, that life that feels so bad might be yours forever if you don’t break the cycle..

the comparison made complete sense to me. she wasn’t saying we are only capable of thinking the way that dogs do. that was a perfect comparison to trauma bonding imo. how someone can be abused, but then shown a bit of love or attention so the brain cancels out the abuse or at least minimizes it. over time it does become a cycle, or a bond.

It's called an analogy. She's not saying we're like dogs, she just comparing situations that include trauma bonding and love bombing. Also, "love yourself enough" is easier said than done when u are being abused and someone is breaking your self-esteem constantly and trying to make u feel worthless so u feel like u will never feel love or happy without them. As someone that says they were in an abusive relationship, u should know this and know that hindsight is 20/20. When you're in the situation, it's almost impossible to see a way out.

The thing that will always blow my mind is gaslighting and how dangerously powerful it is. It was always my fault. I make him this way. I get what I deserve. The way he would explain it would really make me believe I had major problems for the longest time. He made me get mental help. But that help is what came back to bite him. They realized after a few sessions what was happening and helped me.

I dont support abuse on any standard. but to the ones who cry, writhe, and threaten suicide. Please be aware borderline personality disorder makes this behavior prevalent in a breakup. If your partner threaten suicide take it seriously and get them help

Smoking is bad for you. Drinking is bad for you. Drugs are bad for you. I know to avoid all these things, and I'm a young adult I've been raised to know what is what and to stay away. But this is what I'm afraid of, toxic relationships. Because they can act one way and then be a totally different person, and like 0:57 lady said. People, I'm not saying EVERYONE is like this. No. I'm not saying that. But it is scary, and it is real, and it can be addictive. I get everyone has their own issues, no one is perfect. . . but this is depressing. BE cautious. I've never been in a relationship yet, but I pray to God he will send me someone who will love me, respect me and treat me as an equal.

I don't like the woman's reasoning as to why people "cant" leave an abusive relationship. Firstly, women are not dogs and not leaving an abusive relationship just because its what is familiar, is not a "I cant leave", it's because they choose not to and aren't ready to leave quite yet. Even when they know it's just a vicious cycle of abuse and torture they're stuck in. Speaking from experience, as scary and uncomfortable as it is to leave, when a woman has truly had enough and wants to leave, she absolutely will. Especially if she has babies to think about and protect.

I saw an explanation of why you miss toxic exes; Basically, your brain becomes accustomed to your situation, and treats it like a normal thing. So when you leave, your brain seeks that situation again and again, because it wants a feeling of normalcy. To get better, you need to create a new normal, one where you can be happy and healthy without that toxic ex. And that isn’t that hard. I may have got some of this wrong, but this was the gist.

The one clip at 2:59 I had a neighbor who did that by trying to break down his access door. When I confronted him, he didn’t start banging on my door, and even though I had a AR-15 he still stood his ground. It took police officers to Tasia, and before that he was telling me to shoot him. I believe he was probably trying to end his life or he was on something.

I was at my friend's birthday before the pandemic and he shouted at her and I can tell she was crying and telling him to leave her alone he didn't, so I stood up infront of his face and said if you don't leave her alone I will make you. So he pushed me I apologise to her and I pinned him to the floor with a hold told her to get to safety which she did and me and him wrestled like mad and he finally left, as he left I locked the doors and shut ran into my arms thanking me so she is okay and she's happy thanks to me

Seems almost impossible to find someone who isn't broken these days and as stated these individuals are not content with something that isn't broken. They resist a healthy relationship because it's not what they're used to. Men and women. It's a shame. People have to want better for themselves. Also imo principles and values like trust, honesty, respect, morals, etc have disappeared. Best of luck
