I have the V2 and I am going for the Diana TC, I have a sizeable collection of headphones including ZMFs, however these are my go to and became my daily driver simply due to the build quality and not feeling like you have to baby it all the time and varnish its wood and other such things. They are built like a tank and sound amazing, what more could you ask for? Even though I really like my ZMFs, I hardly use them due to that reason.

Nice review thanks for the heads up on the V2 pads placement and burn in time. I ordered the older version Of the V2 for $1850 with the new bass ported pads it was such a great deal. They will be here next week can't wait. You mentioned in you review about a must for well recorded tracks to feed the V2. Do you have any recommendations on well recorded track to try out? I'm open to all kinds of music. I would like to throw together a playlist that will work well with my new V2

Thanks! Can't go wrong with any ODEZA, Yosi Horikawa, long after you're gone, Mountains from interstellar, you know any typical high quality "audiophile" music

Excwllent overview and initial review. Three questions 1. What amp/DAC/source are you using? 2. Did you buy them in the warehouse sale? 3. Would you recommend them? I'm on the fence with the warehouse sale and any guidance you can share would be helpful.

1. Using them primarily with the questyle CMA400i class A dac/amp streaming tidal master music 2. Yup warehouse sale 3. 100% if you are in the US as it ships to US only. For $1849USD, the Diana V2 is an absolute steal and an endgame worthy headphone in the same level as the ultra high end flagship stuff

just got my v2, paired with the wa7 3rd gen - magnificent sound. i have the 8xx & 800s, i like the v2 better if we are not talking about soundstage, just pure clear & intimate sound. i do consider taking it with me to office and such more often so I wonder if you can recommend a nice portable dac/amp to compliment the diana v2 on the go, thanks for the review!

Sorry for late reply but, I sometimes use the Diana somewhat portably. I powered them through the 4.4mm balanced through my Astell&Kern Kann Max on super high power mode. Doesn’t sound as good as desktop, but as close as it gets with such a high power DAP

@@HillReviews ty :) i run them via the wa7 3rd gen currently. sold all my other headphones after getting the diana v2, its just better.

I love the name Diana for a headphone. It inspires confidence- Amazonian strength durability. Also love the design , though ive heard comfort is hit or miss. If another company stole its look and provided decent sound quality - for 2990 dollars less, id buy it!

Agreed, Abyss headphones have some incredible engineering

Vocals on these is hard to beat, always enjoy pop music on V2, love its slight darker tonality and smoothness.

How do these compare to the HE1000V2? Excluding the “soundstage” what makes the Diana V2 so good?
@HillReviews Жыл бұрын
Diana V2 are simply more technically capable in my opinion. I don't know what black magic Abyss is pulling but the Diana is simply faster, more detailed, and a more resolving planar. It's technical abilities are incredible and perfect for any detail chasers. However, I can see why some would prefer the souns presentation of the HE1000V2, being more airy open and large sounding, not as intimate and closed in your head like Diana

@@HillReviews yeah I’m thinking about purchasing the warehouse sale one for $1,850 but honestly don’t know if I should. I’ve been an IEM person for a while and I switched to the HEKV2 for the sole purpose of soundstage and a more “open sound”. Perhaps it would be best to wait.

HE1000V2 sounds bigger, but treble is too hot for me, not natural, HE1000se is much much better product.

Thank you for the review, I want to ask what kind of DAP would you recommend if traveling and can you compare with Diana TC Thank you👍🙋♂️

These are quite demanding and power hungry planar headphones, so definitely recommend a high power dap with balanced output. Sometimes I use the Diana with the Astell&Kern Kann Max through 4.4mm balanced output, and it has more than enough power and great sound quality on the go
