This won't matter to most people, but the image of all the hub worlds at 4:24 was created using multiple pages of the official Nintendo guide. Each time a new hub was introduced, it was accompanied by the pictures you see. It's nice to see something from a 23 year old (and probably fairly rare now) magazine put into the video.

So I think I saved this video out of curiosity about one of the games I played in my childhood that was nostalgic... I came away from this video in total awe at how innovative and capable people can become to push the limits of technology. I had no concept of "competitive" gaming or speedrunning or even technical improvements when I played this with my family in the 2000s.... I couldn't even beat the game regularly once 😭

Man I remember playing this game as a kid, this video gives me so much nostalgia. My brother and I also used to push the a button to drive faster and later discovered that you could be even faster by doing the barrel rolls. Never knew that those are speedrun tactics 😂❤ I really like your explanation videos about speedruns. I'm wondering if you would be interested to look into a few zelda speedruns because some of them are very complicated with back in time glitches and superswims as well as recoding the game to give you certain items. I feel you would be able to explain those strats to people who have no prior knowledge since your videos are explaining the strats in a simple way.
