Great video. I really appreciate you for clarifying the mode motor vs the air mix (or blend door) motor. And yes, only Honda Accord with the dual climate control will have a main (left/driver) and a different right/passenger blend motor. The blend motor is harder to locate on a 2003-07 Accord dual climate and it is easy to get mistaken with the mode motor that you had mention.

I searched for hours and hours, but still cannot find one on the passenger side for an Accord wiry dual climate. I can barely see the blend door gear on the passenger side below the mode actuator, but cannot figure out how to get to it. Any tips?

Mine is the same one, a 2007 Honda Accord with leather seats and navigation, on the window sticker that came with the car I think it also mentions it as EX w/ Navigation & Leather seats. I also have a sunroof.

U have to check before u change it see if it moved as u turn the temp up and down also cold be low Freon

I have had issue with those well either ur ac compressor not building pressure or it have restriction in ac system possable cause the orifice tube is blocked also check ur cabin filter

Which part did u buy? This issue is due to low Freon or if u have dual temp control then one side blend door motor is bad usually drivers sides goes

hi , thanks for this amazing video. by my civic 2017 is something i never saw before, not in KZbin or in google. As you said, from the right side there is cold air, and moving to the left side ( driver side) it blows hot air. So i went today to a garage to check the Freon and he told me that he was half empty, Ok i decided to check the actuator motors i noticed that they are fine, when i change it from hot to cold i see it moving in both sides, Driver an passenger. so any idea, please i am tired of all garages i am paying tons of money just cuz they are trying to solve it !!!!!

Just to let u know no one can every tell u it’s half empty u have to recover from system with ac machine then machine measures how much Freon came out of system they might simply looking at ur coolant level anyways. Try this put the car on put the ac on and then free the air on drivers side then push the gas peddle to 1500 to 1800 rpm. Take it easy don’t destroy the engine. And free the air if it gets cold even a bit in 4-10 seconds of holding RPM. Then it might need Freon service it might be low on Freon .. try this and let me know Also check ur cabin filter I had customer had super clogged filter that cause less air only vents on left side got good cold air

Hey, i just got a new compressor installed on my 07 honda accord and aircon isnt as cool as it used to be.. Any idea why this would happen? One side seems cooler then the other, i just spent heaps of money and its not very cold. Could it be the compressor they put in or a under the dash problem like u have shown in the video?

Usully when that type of complaint comes to my shop and I have installed compressors and then it didn’t make very cold like my honda dose I redue the ac service meaning I recover and vaccum the system and recharge with correct amount of oil and r134 so if there too much oil or too much r134 or too little it would do somthing like that some times my machine messes up anyways. U might want to take it back to them and ask this question also how did they refill the system dud they vaccum and recharge. Hopefully they didn’t add with just cans that would off set. Let me know what happnes next

Hey great video but I have a question I am working on a 2007 acura RDX It is Winter time the AC is working properly on both sides I have already changed the blender on the driver's side which was bad but it is now fixed however when the heat is turned up all the way on the passenger side it blows room temperature air at besthe 2nd vent on the passenger side gets slightly warmer the 3rd vent on the driver's side is hot the 4th event is the hottest I've checked all of the blind doors on the passenger side all seem to be working fine why am I not getting warm air coming on the passenger side? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check ur blend door motor again turn the door manually and see how that makes diffrence

After watching many of these videos, I got some silicone lube to lubricate all 4 blend actuators and their gears; at least the parts my fingers could get to. This is just to prevent them from getting stuck, so I wouldn't have to deal with the problem.

Check operation of both blend door motor if u got dual if they work then reservice the system using ac machine could be low

That could be the issue u can move it manually take off the bolts and turn it softly and feel the air

Ok. So try this. Open the hood. Have some one put the ac on and see if both fans on radiator come on. Let me know. If they do come on then check to see if ac compressor engages if it dosent. Then use test light and check power in to the one wire going to ac conpressor. If it got power u have bad ac compressor. Try all this

No that’s success in determining ur blend door motors work so next step recharge the ac system use ac machine recover vaccum for 20 minutes the recharge correct amount

You either have a bad expansion valve or a freon leak somewhere. Most likely, it's a freon leak. That's the most common cause. Probably bad valves or damaged condenser

on my 04 Accord EXV6 Sedan its cold on the passenger side and slightly warm on driver side. I removed the Drivers side Air mix control motor. And manually moved the levers and it never got cold. I even ran Onboard DTC codes and none where stored and lastly i see the motor moves them fully i think its low on refrigerant

@@Jgct9686 turns out the receiver/Dryer was clogged and actually had broke internally. Those little desiccant beads coming off. So that was causing a restriction in the system once i replaced that. And recharged the system gets to 42 Degrees on driver side vent.

@@Jgct9686 it was not a door actuator. It was restriction in the system not allowing the refrigerant. To cycle though the system. It was so bad that it would cause the pressure relief valve on the compressor. To open releasing the refrigerant. Causing the system to be low.

Mine gets stuck when the dual temp controls are different. When I set them at the same temp it starts working again. Is this a sign the motor is going out or something else?

The both sides will not change temp but if u experience once side cold and one side hot it might be low on Freon and is able to only cool off half of the evaporator core
