AC/DC LUCI (WIP 1) (Stern 2013) VPW mod team - Visual Pinball X - lots of flowing multiball action!

This table needs no introduction but I also bet you've never seen a digital version as good looking or that plays as well as this version. This is still a WIP, so it will look even better once released ;-) . I'm still getting to know the table, but it is so easy to get into, and such a wonderful in-the-groove table, if you get there, that you can just pick up and go (Metallica is similar). In this game, I had such a nice flowing game where I start all the multiballs and changed a few songs (KZbin unfortunately muted some of them).

My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score.

Is this still being worked on? VPX 10.8 would be great.

No, this was released a while ago! It is not a 10.8 table, but a lot of "old style" work went into making it look and play great to VPW standards.

Wow. Already one of my favorite VPX tables and now it's getting the VPW treatment. I can't wait to play this one. 🤯 Is there an easy place to see what WIP tables the VPW crew has going, or is it more of an insider thing?

The Virtual Pinball Chat Discord has a WIP section, but there are also many more that are kept under wraps until they are closer to release. You can also follow Friscopinball and GameClubCentral on Twitch, as they often play WIP's.

Awesome! Cant wait.. Little thing I learned from deadflip.. go into the service menu and turn the "music annotation" (think that's what it's called) all the way up. This turns the music off so you don't have to worry about youtube copyright shit.

Seeing that you can see this unlisted video, I might as well show you my last recorded video on Iron Maiden 😉. If you are familiar with the table, you'll see lots of things broke. @@PinStratsDan Thanks so much for your efforts and a peak behind the curtain! I assume you share these gameplay videos and notes with the VPW crew and they troubleshoot from there? Are the games logged in any way so they can see the issues or is it all trial and error?

I'm glad to be able to contribute to the community in some way. I record all my gameplay and if I notice anything odd/broken, I share either a clip or the full video if needed to the VPW team. Daphisbowl (Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman 66) is the coder for this table. He knows the code really well, so know what to fix or where to look if I point out and explain what I think happened. I know the table very well by now and just about each game get quite far in. I also know what to look out for, so it helps to find issues much faster. Either way... quite an involved process because it is coded from scratch. There is also a owner of the real table that takes a look at my videos from time to time. He picks up on subtle issues such as inserts not working as they should or wrong scoring, which is a great help to get the table not just working, but as accurate as possible. For interests sake, here are notes for the video I shared with the team on when and what went wrong... 4m10 - I started Flight of Icarus and then Trooper Multiball. Afterwards, I only needed one shot up the left ramp to open the Underworld. EDDIE letters were not added (you can see just before I shoot into the underworld), so something else went wrong. 5m20 - The mode that started was Hallowed be thy Name an I lost the ball during the mode. At the launch of the next ball, two EDDIE mode inserts were blinking on the playfield. EDDIE letters were allocated normally again. 7m05 - After the next mode (Rime of the Ancient Mariner) only one EDDIE mode insert was blinking. 09:25 - I played Mummy multiball and could spell Mummy again when back in single-ball play. When I got to Mummy, the left ramp didn't light up for the sarcophagus lock. It didn't come right for the rest of the game. 11:25 - I started Fear of the Dark and completed the requirements for Cyborg muliball. I then started Trooper multiball and when Fear of the Dark ended, Cyborg multiball started, running with Trooper multiball. 13:10 - When the multiball ended, the underworld opened for Cyborg Multiball, so I could then play it again and made lots of points.
