Young ones don't realize the things they see on tv and here in music today was not allowed years ago so it had to be written to where the young ones wouldn't understand what was being said. They had to be creative and they were. Today's music not so much.
@smallblockchevy10224 жыл бұрын
@@jamiehammer3588 They didn't necessarily have to do it in a way that young ones wouldn't understand. They more so had to do it in a way, even it was understandable, that wasn't provable. In other words that usually had to be an acceptable possible alternative meaning that they could point to. Because I was a very young kid when You Shook Me All Night Long" came out, only 7, and I knew what the song was about fundamentally, and just a few short years later knew specifically what the subtleties were in reference to. I think most of my friends did as well.

This song is played at damn near every wedding Ive ever been too. Go to a club and TODAY in 2020 this will fill up the dance floor. This was on the "Come back," album after Bon Scott's death. 2 songs off of that album... this one, and Back and Black are quite possibly in the top 20 rock songs of all time. Immense pressure was on Brian Johnson to replace Scott, and he filled the bill. Ac/Dc could have faded out after Bon Scott passed, but they continued on as what is now a band in the same air as The Rolling Stones.... simply iconic.

This video, and her reaction, defines why this song is such a cross-over classic with men and women. Women love this song because it's called 'YOU Shook ME All Night Long'. It makes the woman the focus. If it was called "I Shook YOU All Night Long' it would have a very different tone and flavor, and I think a lot of women would be put off by it. It certainly wouldn't be the iconic classic it is today. Maybe.

Pretty funny. Now, the boys were pretty energetic in the "Thunderstruck" video as you saw too. There is a second video of "You Shook Me All Night Long" released in 1986 that is a concept music video rather than a "live" on stage one like was released with the "Back in Black" album. The concept video is pretty funny and definitely makes it clear whats' goin on.
