Studies have shown that long term outcomes are similar between surgery and conservative management. The biggest factor in your recovery will likely be the extent to which you focus on rehab.

Im very curious of how it will function and look once youre "fully healed". It does look like you have a step deformity so that will likely be there forever.
@kubemedical65438 ай бұрын
10 months down the line it functions fairly normally, still challenging with presses though. Very prominent deformity!

curious of was that a partial or total torn of the AC joint?
@kubemedical65438 ай бұрын
It wasn't confirmed by any imagery, but we assume it was a total tear due to the extent of the deformity.
@tongyang59958 ай бұрын
@@kubemedical6543 Thanks for the info. I had a similar amount of deformity just like you and haven't got an MRI yet. Also my friend told me a partial torn of the ligament would cause swelling and a lot of pain for the first few days or longer. Whereas a total torn wouldn't. I also heard a pop sound when i had the injury which is also a sign of total torn

Does your shoulder still clicking or popping?
@kubemedical65437 ай бұрын
Not popping so much as clicking and grinding when doing pressing movements.

My dx was dislocation of rt acromioclavicular joint (psuedo-dislocation ) and 1 tear that would heal itself by day 14. It's been exactly 3 weeks and I plan to rehab myself. I was told by an ER doctor to expect a complete recovery. I hope you have more videos. If you or anyone has any recommendations, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! I decided today that I wasn't going to go to an orthopedic doctor due to cost and I'm assuming I can get well myself with some research. I"m assuming I had a grade 2 sprain

is laser better than pushwaves?

Do you mean shockwave?
@deecee6355 Жыл бұрын
@@kubemedical6543 Yes I'm from Sweden and could not find the right word

Shockwave is great for restarting the healing process once symptoms are chronic, but laser can be very useful immediately after an acute injury.

No dislocation to address, so just the separation thankfully!
