My AC Joint was sprained and later inflammed. I worked on my posture and on my rotator cuff and I could even do push ups, bench pressing and dips without irritating it. I discovered that my front delts were really tight from years of lifting with bad posture. This made it difficult to keep my posture up all day, which is why I often made bad moves during the day. So if you struggle with your AC joint like me, you might want to stretch your front delts on a regular basis. This was key for me.

This was perfect timing guys. Yesterday the back leg on the chair I was sitting on broke . I grabbed the fridge handle. On the way to floor. Glad to synchronistcally scroll across this today 🤗 . You guys must be a little psychic also 🤔 Of all the places to get hurt and you guys were right there for me with the answers, the test, the Excercises the funny ... which laughter is still one of the best medicines 🤣 and is perfect for your humble yet most helpful show. "A little bit of sugar helps the medicine go down" Thanks for being yous guys. Whether you are the best chiros on the net or not you make finding solutions a whole lot more fun. I love your mild sense of humor. You remind me of a famous comedy team ... Thanks again for generously helping folks like me that can't go get outside help. Plus I am a drummer play guitar and just got a new drum set ... Yet a bit afraid to play them. Do you think playing Drumset would be good or bad for this as it is a bit sore but I don't think I broke or fractured it. Plus I have been taking a high grade Collegen for my excrutiating knee pain which is gone now so I am hoping the Collegen is helping strengthen my bones etc. I just turned 69. Thanks for all you do for so many. You guys are greatly appreciated. Bongo Dave - Good Happens Love Shall Prevail 🙏✌️😎🥁💕🎷🎶🎸🤗💙

Hi. Awesome videos. Sorry for the long message in advance. I have had right shoulder pain issues for a decade now. I have been doing should impingement and strengthening exercise for over a month now but my AC joint continues to ache. I just tried the suggested rubbing and it felt good. Recently got MRI done and the report says below. Any thoughts on the routine I should follow? FINDINGS: Marked edema of the subarticular aspect of acromioclavicular joint associated with significant joint space narrowing and osteophyte formations (degenerative changes). Joint space fluid with partial thickness tear of superior acromioclavicular ligament. Thickened/hypertrophied joint capsule causing mild subacromial supraspinatus impingement. Tiny degenerative cystic foci in the middle facet of greater tuberosity of humerus. Trace of superior subscapularis recess fluid. Mild strain of articular surface fibers of teres minor. The glenohumeral joint appears normal. The glenoid labrum appears normal. No evidence of labral tear. The inferior glenohumeral ligament appears normal. The long head of biceps and its attachment appears normal. The supraspinatus tendon, infraspinatus tendon, subscapularis tendon appears normal. No Hill Sach’s deformity. No significant abnormality is seen in the muscles. IMPRESSION: Features of marked acromioclavicular joint arthritis with mild to moderate subacromial supraspinatus impingement. Other findings as described above.

Thank you both. I wonder if you can help answer this question, I experienced an AC injury due to doing some tricep dips, and long story cut short, arrested for two weeks, but then was a bit too eager to train and maybe injured it again and subsequently took 5 weeks away from doing any Upper work. There is definitely much improvement now, however, when performing Chest Press and Fly movements I experience pain and discomfort, not massive - probably around 4 out of 10. This usually settles down by the following day and mostly speaking, I can bring my arm across the body without too much pain or discomfort if any. Does this sound like it’s on the mend on its own or do I need to take any action?

I have strong calcification now 15 years later, after impact trauma in early 20's. Last night after 4 hours of of carrying 40# on stable back-pack the top of calcification knob was throbbing. I assumed from the strap over top pulling on those connective tissues. Though next day the knob itself is painful. I do a lot of physical labor, and have great stamina, but this can cause scapula issues, flare my trap/neck, and cause a lot of problems. What is your take on the calcification and an AC sprain of 2 from years past? The cross sectional reach does not hurt. Push ups are fine etc.

I got diagnosed with the following 1. No acute fracture. 2. Slight elevation of the distal clavicle relative to the acromion, suggesting low-grade acromioclavicular injury. This happened in 6 months ago, but I ended up working out for another 4 weeks (excluding any shoulder related workout). I was told by orthopedic that it's chronic now. Would this be permanent damage? I still feel a little bit of pain sometimes at a particular angle, and I definitely can't workout at this point. Do you think physio therapy will work? I fell on my arm and severely bruised it and fractured the middle of my shoulder. The doctor recommended not having surgery because I would have to stop taking my heart transplant rejection meds 2 wks before and after. It is getting a lot better, but can you recommend something to help me heal faster?

I recommend Krokodil, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine. Only then should you seek a doctor's advice. Note: I'm just some guy on the internet. /s

Will these work on a shoulder full of arthritis. You can feel and hear bone on bone when using that joint.

I got run over by a truck about a week ago. Sprain on the left side and separated on the right. Follow up today and doc said I can avoid surgery and go straight to pt.

What about over extension. My arm was pulled back 5 yrs ago and has been painful ever since. Did I break something? Or tear something? It pops at times. Very painful. No never had it x-ray or even looked at.

They can't answer those questions. You need to get it checked out by someone that can physically look on it

My Ac joint become separated 7-8 years ago due to falling from a 1 floor roof and i landed on my dominant left hand which eventually also made carpel Tunnel syndrome but i regained my motion slowly what I noticed was, my median nerve used to pop out from the socket but, with practice it went out like 1,2 years ago, it's like the muscles are very stiff, It also made my right blurry eye completely clear after a year leaving my left eye to become more blurry since i already had eye sight issue in both of my eyes. I first used my chest to move my left arm which made my lower back very stiff as well as my arm stiff along with my left chest stiff, i played cricket on my right hand, which made my left leg, left side more stiff due to balancing myself on my left, is there any way to attack my Ac joint naturally and I think stiffness of my left side can be overcome by exercise. But how do i fix my AC joint, I cant even hold objects well enough on my left hand because the arm and hand themselves are stiff too. Its causing me depression and i dont want to switch to my right hand. On the contrast, my Ac joint of my right arm became rock slid hard, its like i can lift Thor's hammer with my right hand. But precision requires my left hand. Which is why i don't want to lose my left hand. I hope I'd get a good recommendation of what should i do

Even without benting my head to my left side i feel like i can't swallow or breath well, it also causes me distress by a huge margin, also focusing without my left eye properly due to this head shifting causes confusion in my brain

awkward... I have a bump on my acromion process that I have just now noticed. It's very pronounced but it doesn't have any pain when I press down on it or do any of the tests on it. I think I might have had a tear in the past. A year ago it was very tender to touch and did hurt when I slept on it. This happened from doing dips and bench press I think. I backed off that for months and it went away but the bump still remains. I only ever feel slight pain on it when I bench now. That's why I prefer the dumbbell press, no pain from that.
