Yes caustic soda is a very good cleaning chemical especially against oily surface. In my opinion 100 gram caustic soda in 1 liter water is enough and safe for small size condenser. Use slight warm water to dissolve caustic soda easily. First wet the condenser with water and then pour caustic soda solution evenly on condenser with lota. Rinse condenser thoroughly with water after 5 minutes. Don't use caustic soda on greasy engine parts as it will damage silver paint coating of engine and makes it dull and black. Another method is to make mixture of tatari (citric acid) 50 grams in 500ml warm water and shake well to dissolve it. Now spray this mixture on condenser and after 5 minutes use soft plastic brush to rub off dirt. Then thoroughly rinse condenser with water.

Wash it with pressure washer from a distance that will wash away all dirt. Such solutions will damage the condenser.
