Remember clearly watching this and being floored by Milan's directness. Was rooting for United in those good old days when Milan was a club you feared and resented if you weren't a Milanista. Everyone says the same, but Gatusso locked onto Ronaldo all night. Whenever Ronnie tried his tricks, flicks and step-overs, Gatusso, just took the ball and made him look average. Yes, the odd barge and a foul or two, but mainly inch perfect interceptions. The only game I've ever seen Ronaldo completely outclassed. For me, Gatusso was imperious that night and definitely man of the match.
