Thanks for recording this video. I needed to change a friend's alternator belt, so I had to take the serpentine belt off to get to it. The Mitsubishi factory service manual was useless; it's one of the worst service manuals I've ever read.

DIY Apprentice repair manual is not included in any factory service manual. It is sold it separately

On another video, he was saying it is necessary to take the wheel off, lift up the car etc. and on yours, it doesnt say anything about those. I hope yours is the correct one because I got stranded on the side of the road and I will give this a try after work tonight lol. Thank you for the video!

Great video, thanks for your help.....HOWEVER, how tight should the tension be after I replace the belt. I did everything on the video, but I can't seem to stop my car from squealing when it starts and when I come to a stop, if the a/c is on, it slightly squeals..??

Hi, my belt keeps loosing tension after a few hours drive. I keep adjusting the tension nut. Should I replace the tension nut or is my belt just too tight? My belt is just about a year old.

Is this the same engine or close to it as a 2002 Galant ?? It looks the same set up..
@BizzArEGaminG5 жыл бұрын
Mike Machado This is late but yes it should be, most lancers and galants of those years have the 4G94 engine in them.

The lancer also has an accessory belt that it doesn't look like you replaced.

Pull the pully off then use multi grips to get hold of the broken nut shaft. Turn anti clock wise. Use w.d 40 to help ezy it off. I know its late but might help someone else too
