Great Video! Thanks a lot for helping explain me this. Like you said, youtube is a ghost town for this fix. Good job!

I'm so glad you found this video useful! That belt is flexible so make sure you replace it with one that can stretch to get back in there. Good luck!

@@edwardlthompson I haven't replaced it yet. I have to replace the timing belt... Most people just cut the old stretch belt, and use a zip-tie or hose clamp to install the new one... I'll see how that will method works. Thank you for making the video!

That's actually a great idea on how to get it back on. Good luck to you.

Um, my '07 Outlander, 3.0L, V6, MIVEC engine has a tensioner for the Power Steering Pump belt and a separate tensioner for the Alternator / AC belt. Yes, there are 2 separate belts in the engine AND a timing belt . . . 3 belts total. Each belt has it's own tensioner.

Some come with it and some are without it. The belt is a special belt that is more elastic than other belts and can be stretched.

That's sounds like the mitsubishi 3.5L V6. One in video must be a different mitsubishi V6.

That’s NOT how you do it. It’s a STRETCH BELT and you don’t need to remove the pump you can just cut the belt off. Keep in mind you will need a stretch belt tool for installation otherwise you will damage the belt if you try to install without it.

You're right. That's how to do it if you don't have the tool. 😆👍🏻

This helped me, thank you! I wish I had read this comment before I took my power steering pump off. Now I can't get the top large bolt back in.

You should be purchasing a stretch belt. That one pops on with some force.

Y como colocastes esa correa ,solo muestras como sacarla ?

El cinturón de repuesto debe ser un cinturón flexible. El cinturón se coloca de la misma manera que se quitó el otro.
