Follow up to my previous comment. I ended up replacing the condenser, compressor switch, expansion valve and ac relays. I wanted to make sure i covered all the bases. Now about to get her gassed up. I wouldn't have had the confidence to do the work without watching your videos. Thankyou again.

@89G Yeh, i impressed myself! I'll be more impressed if it actually holds a charge, but i made sure to go back and triple check everything before closing the system. Fingers crossed at this point!

where do the seals go that the expansion valve bring?

@@89G yes the o rings. I see the expansion valve brings 2 types of seals. But not sure which one goes where.

Nice! The a/c on my 06 mustang stopped working last year and I totally forgot to fix it over the winter. I think the concepts are the same though, so thanks for the video!

How much was all this? Where did you purchase?

Sorry, I've been out of town. The installers kit was right around 100 dollars. The only place I've found it is at Autozone. The R134A is 10 dollars a can at Walmart.

I'm gearing up to tackle this job on my wifes escape. I already had the entire ac system replaced once before, but the guy that installed it bent the condenser and cracked it all along the top, so it has never held charge. This time, I've got another new compresser, drier, block, and o rings to go in. I'm hoping it stays fixed this time..

My first TX valve lasted 2 years. I just had to do it again on my 2011. Last time it stuck closed, this time it stuck open. Luckily it was under warranty!

That sounds like something I would do if I made video's, I would forget about half the video's I made 😅😂 Yeah A/C is nice but sucks having to work on it

Yeah, especially when it's finding out what's trashed on it. I have an issue on my truck I'll be addressing soon in a video. Finally decided the compressor has to be the issue.

Um... that's not an evaporator core, that's a condenser. And it would help if you had the year of the escape in the title as well. Good video though! Just tweak the title maybe.

Correct, the TX valve replaced that.

@@89G I had a 2011 2.5l escape ac go down recharged it to 200psi. Changed out the cycling switch on 5he dryer and the clutch. Cycling a few times then fried the clutch so checked the pump and it was jamed. So r&r'ed that now installing new dryer, pump, the oil in the pump bright yellow with no discoloration or debrea
