The series wasn't broken until Odyssey...great game but not an assassin's creed game IMO. That's the one I can't defend. And it has nothing to do with the gameplay itself. It's ironic that Unity was the one that broke AC. But I defended the hell out of that game but now everyone wants a replica of it. The same thing is happening with tomb raider rn. I'm 38 and have played everything since 1988. So maybe I just have more respect for gaming as a whole. It's really sad to see the community the way it is now. I hate how liberal the term Metroidvania is tossed around when nobody has actually played the games that coined that term....anyways rant over

@@rokudodamaza itll take a minute but you need to do it with a trackpad and switch windows which gets fiddly or janky. cheat engine's completely free. instructions are on the mod page; and so long as you know how to follow instructions, use anviltooklit and a file manager, its easy to install.

@@rokudodamaza I've never used the Steam Deck before and I'm not familiar with the actual presentation of it at all but the Steam Deck is just a computer running an Arch-based Linux distribution with KDE (the desktop environment). If you learn a bit about Linux fundamentally you can find your way around and put the pieces together to make it work on the Steam Deck.

Personally, I think they should’ve bound air tackle to a high-profile + fist (weapon) + required lock on to a target on a much lower elevation. That way, it functions more like Altaïr’s air assassinate. It would also mean that more air tackles are done with intent, instead of being accidents.

The parkour down functionality is actually the biggest thing with this mod for me. The added control I have over jump arcs is so nice.

yo I finally got this to work, I use a ps4 controller and steam was detecting it as that and not an xbox controller leading to the binds being fked so I right clicked AC2 on steam, Properties Controller and then set it to Disable steam input (very important) and turned off playstation controller support in general controller settings. Then when AC2 launches you're controller shouldnt be working, thats when you turn on DS4windows and connect it as an xbox controller. Now the binds work properly for me, hope this helps

If anyone else plays Brotherhood on KB+M can you explain how to fix the jerky camera. Can’t even move the camera when using the mouse properly without it going in the opposite direction. I’ve turned v sync on it seems to minimise the problem only but it’s still present, ruins the parkour experience. Don’t understand why KB+M control suck compared to controller.

I don't see myself needing to vault in a game where vaulting offers no speed benefits. Its cool but slower... same problem I have with unity. If its objectively better to just move forwards then what's the point?

I would say that none of the vaults in this video slowed me down. The first one was neutral, but the second 2 were actually accelerants in the contexts I used them. Even with the other parkour down components in this mod, vaulting is still faster in several circumstances, and it also offers potential for directional change more than other moves do. My overall advice would be to try the mod and see for yourself. Vaulting is an essential part of this mod, even when regarded only from a purely objectively-motivated standpoint.

while parkouring down vaulting downwards into a pole is so much faster and slicker. also, vaulting literally cant be slower than other maneuver that u could have performed instead. also it is not about meta, it is about player expression.

Two main reasons: 1) I no longer wish to purchase Ubisoft products, regardless of quality. This has to do with misdeeds of the company that they have yet to rectify. Until they do this, I will not buy their products. 2) Mirage didn’t meet the standards I have for what I want AC to be if I were to come back and start playing the games again. AC needs to fully return with proper parkour & present day before I consider jumping back into the series.
