@@jcers I may not have ever looked into the Uncharted games, but you truly made it all pop. Looks like a game that feels good to play as well, which is weird to see with such good anim quality on top lol The work was well worth it <3
@jcersКүн бұрын
Thanks! Yea, Uncharted 4 has a genuinely fantastic game feel, in large part due to the animation fidelity, I think. Nate’s weight is conveyed extremely effectively through all of the motions he does but he remains agile and responsive at all times. Uncharted 4 has a level of looseness to its game feel that wouldn’t work for a game requiring more movement precision like AC, but for what Uncharted needs to be, Nate is perfectly designed and feels wonderful to control.

First time watching this type of content for this game. Very nice. I'm not even gonna go into detail how much better the anim work, the grappling hook, the sound design and everything else feels compared to modern AC.

@jcers2 күн бұрын
Thanks, Ropo! I can honestly say “yes”. Uncharted 4 is an incredible game and it’s in my top 5 favourites ever. It isn’t a particularly “expressive” game, but every system works very well, feels great and looks great. The story is also really excellent and ties up things from the first three games really well. I highly recommend playing the Uncharted series. The first 3 games are not as good as 4, but you still need to play them

This was designed for multiple people so that is likely the issue with this mission. It is not balanced for solo movement in the sense that what is absolutely trivial with even two people becomes something that requires a fair bit of thought and precision when done alone.

If anyone else plays Brotherhood on KB+M can you explain how to fix the jerky camera. Can’t even move the camera when using the mouse properly without it going in the opposite direction. I’ve turned v sync on it seems to minimise the problem only but it’s still present, ruins the parkour experience. Don’t understand why KB+M control suck compared to controller.

Parkour has some downgrades from the classics and stealth can be pretty obtuse but largely I agree. I do think a lot of the criticisms offered for this game don’t seem to be coming from a place of deep knowledge of the game or of trying to approach the game on its own terms

@jcers4 күн бұрын
I disagree but AC3 is a strange game in that you kind of have to know how to approach the content in order to enjoy it. Understanding and accepting that it’s a slow burn and doing as many Homestead missions as possible (along with the naval missions, especially the story ones) actually makes the game much more fun. I feel that you have to really dive into the roleplaying aspect of living Connor’s whole life, and that when you do that, the game properly starts to shine.

Hello jcers, that was very awesome. If you ever see this comment would you mind letting me know how you control the camera during parkour? Do you use the instant camera reset thingy or do you manually move it ? If find that when I'm doing high speed parkours it's not intuitive when Edward faces another direction from my pov.
@jcers2 күн бұрын
Thanks! I normally just use the right stick but I will use the reset camera button on occasion. I use it more frequently in classic AC due to needing to hold down legs when doing parkour.

All these years later i still download Unity from time to time just to parkour around Paris. I wish they stuck with this system and made it more responsive and consistent instead of dumbing it down with Syndicate and then basically removing parkour altogether in later titles. Death to Poopisoft.
