Great interview. Unfortunately, the moral of the story is, if you are going to build boats, don't use concrete.

I was sad to see the email from the DWV. I was critical of it to begin with, but still signed up. The proof of concept is there and it has a lot of potential. Conducting trend analysis on collections would have been great to see. Peer to peer trades? 100k+ users is pretty good and shows potential. Interesting comment about Vinny as he is on record saying he would not report someone who was trying to sell stolen good to him. He would just refuse to buy them.

Fasto has no clue. ALL THE INVESTORS LOST MONEY.

@@massivehero4871you obviously never done start up before. Fatso was the one keep mumbling none lost money and Thorpe kept remaining him the investor cannot keep losing money. Obviously there are two group of people in this case. The team taking salary or have share because they worked in this start up, and real investor that puts money in, they may or may not worked in the business. The reason I suspect this is shady is because for any start up, you give up on the formality, you get the MVP delivered and pivot or iterate on top of it, you try to spend the least money and fake it until you make it. Instead, Thorpe reminded Fastso several times how much money they spend on security, this reminded me that they might be purposely drain on investor money dry then declare the concept worker but not really worked. This happened a lot in start up world, investors usually invested in dozen projects and they will have to eat the lost and move on.

"What are they going to do with this data?!" If that were true, then why did they spend so much money on security? "At the end of the day we've done everything properly, this has been bleached and cleaned properly". He says that because he's been told that, he probably even believes it... he doesn't have the first clue of where the data was hosted or what happened with it.

Basically it’s a way to fleece investor money and once it ran out, they declare to shut it down.

"The funny thing is, you can call this naïve, but we never really actually looked at how we were going to make money" That's pretty naïve Paul. A business where you didn't even look into how you were going to generate revenue. So your plan was to pay hosting and security costs indefinitely to get the service up and running, and then sell the "software" to other industries. I'd love to know exactly what "The software" is. "You'd need to speak to the experts about that" - well lets get them on then.

It a real shame Paul has now taken down his watch content. I have no problem with him making political videos at all but he could have renamed the watch videos to keep them separate

In 2016 he left KZbin because he thought he deserved more views. The whole reason why he left the watch community is because becoming a right wing activist on KZbin, brings in much more money. He’s just a money hungry grub.
