if you think about it. The Invasion mechanic is so in-line with Armored Core lore. Of course there's gonna be another Raven hired on the opposite side that's gonna ruin your day(mission)(job).

2:39 moment makes you really appreciate the sound designers here. You hear the compressing of hydraulics and can FEEL the absolute danger it represents even before the actual KU-CHUNK of the impact. I actually sucked in a breath anticipating the strike right before that AC narrowly slipped out of range.

Imo, ACS overload as a mechanic in the PvP needs to be removed entirely. All fights just boil down to whoever stuns the other guy first wins.

@@souper813 I agree with this mostly. Right now, it feels like melee is only used as punish and I feel that's part of the reason. I think ACS strain would actually work better if it were a component of resource management, rather than offensive pressure. For example, if you're constantly spamming heavy attacks your ACS strain will build. Builds would have to incorporate some sort of compromise or risk straining their own systems and opening themselves up if they can't finish the job with their weapons.

@@souper813I’ve been whining about this since release as a 4th/5th gen player. The stagger system sucks shit in 6th and ruins a lot of the fun it has the potential for. Why do all my guns fire cotton balls until the enemy AC finally gets winded and decides to take real damage? How the hell is my internal software malfunctioning altering how my armor eats bullets? It’s not like I have PA that’s being stripped or my AC is moving in a way to absorb impact before the ACS shits the bed. And damage and stagger tend to be proportional so you’re never weighing the option of lighter weaponry when the only thing that matters is finding the heaviest gun possible to stagger followed up by a one hit ko from Ashmead or ML Redshift. In older gens weapons had trade offs statwise that made almost everything useful depending on playstyle. In 4th gen guns that stripped Primal Armor generally did less AP damage and vice versa so you had to weigh attacking opponents with higher DEF with more consistent damage against the option to clip their DEF and OB potential so your weaker guns could kill as efficiently with a slower target to boot. In 5th Gen Handguns and Shotguns had low ammo and damage, but they inflicted stagger on hit, not like in 6, but on basically every hit, so they could be used in tandem with a heavier weapon in the bay position or offhand to turn an opponent into a sitting duck, as well as having application in the Team modes as well since one player could be the nuisance slowing the target while the other members lined up a killing blow or moved on the objective. The stagger system in 6 is both unbalanced amongst the weaponry and deters a lot of playstyles since the damage wall is so damn high before ACS Strain.

I once sortie with nightfall AC in climb the wall mission but change the the RB weapon to earshot. It's cool to kick ass in 1v2 as Nightfall especially after hitting them rubiconian handshake

I love the head part, kinda wish raven had a whole AC built off the concept of the head where without the strict aim mode the AC looks less armored and less menacing but when you switch to that auto target the whole AC would kinda do a transformers thing where the whole AC closes up into a more armored state, it wouldn’t do anything major except it could work for making an AC with deployable camouflage parts, or it could be deployable heatsinks like on Walter’s AC

Watching this clip make me wish that Fromsoft would put more effort into AC6 Multiplayer, at least give me Free for all and 2v2 not just 1v1 and 3v3 or a Co-op campaign with invasion would also be great, hell just a few co-op mission that let you fight agaisnt a really hard boss or very long/large scale mission that are fun or worth replaying would already be good enought for me.

This should've come standard. Co-op and invasion make so much sense in the world of armored core. Oh you're going to hit this important target, guess what that info got leaked and the target/target owner has send a merc after you. That would've been so cool. And the co-op could've also imcluded an online version of the consort system.

Raid settings can be toggled so you can turn it off if you want. As for modding the game with the COOP mod you simply have to extract the folder in the game's directory then run the AC6 COOP exe.

The gameplay I was able to present in the video was only possible due to my opponents luckily not running meta builds so its very unlikely to be recreated in a regular multiplayer setting. Though my honest advice for learning how to play this kind of build would be to be proficient in assault boosting and knowing stun duration for the pilebunker strike as the pilebunker is 90% of your damage. Fastest way to close the distance for a pilebunker strike is to engage assault boost and immediately cancel the boost with the pilebunker's melee animation. Doing this correctly keeps your momentum as the pilebunker charges. You can see this occur at 2:15 and 2:40 you especially want to do this if you or your opponent is off the ground. To practice this, I would suggest not trying it in the standard multiplayer. Instead, play in the Arena against V1 Freud, G1 Michigan and Nightfall Raven as these three appear to have the most aggressive AI and generally fight most similarly to actual players.

Unfortunately just like the regular PvP people have just began bringing meta builds (Dual zimmerman etc) and have also began just camping the mission start to insta kill invaders.
