Any and all decisions made in chapter 1-3 has no consequences towards which ending you get except the secret ending. Only the chapter 4 decisions matter. The 3rd and secret ending is the only ending that requires you to complete specific missions in all chapters

The only decision that matters for the first 2 endings is the Chapter 5 choice. For the true ending, you just need to do all the new NG++ missions to unlock the ending, every other decision you can do whatever.

On escort the mining ship I used an areal combat all missiles build and it was a hard counter to this mission.

Some of the changes are actually from NG+, for example, if you betray Red Gun at the assault the Dam Mission in NG+, you will have Prisoner Rescue as well, and they'll lead better into the Liberator ending, which is kind meant for NG+. Some others, like Escorting Mining Ship and Interupt Inspection Forces, are indeed NG++ materials meant for the new route (Related to Allmind).

That stupid defend the mining bullshit mission is actual hell. I cannot for the life of me get past that shit. If they gave us like 30 more seconds in between groups, it'd be so much better. But if you fuck up even a little, you can end up with like 8 shitwheels and those 2 c-jerks that show up NOWHERE else in the game that I've seen, maybe the 2 dead ACs in the coral convergence mission, but where tf did they even come from? Fuck that mission. I am actually at a wall now for the first time.

The mission is difficult until you realize none of the units you fight dodge well, and the wheels are weak to Explosive. That means: MISSILES. LOTS OF MISSILES. Get your best missile-lock FCS, equip your arm and back missile launchers of choice, use some reverse joint or tetrapod legs, and you just turned one of the more difficult missions into a breeze. Jump high to avoid the wheels, lock on to the target and just launch all of your missiles at it.

Well that was kinda unexpected. I ended up beating this shit mission with dual Zimms n Songbirds. First time I've ever used the Zimms and, eh. They worked so, cool but, I dunno, they didn't impress me. I had heard about the full missile strat as well as dual flamethrower strat. I got like a gajillion COAM so I just went n bought all kinds of shit. I didn't use a single thing I bought besides the Zimm lol. But now I got a ton of missles n shit.

Likely completely unnecessary advice, but the easiest way to take care of the Coral transports, at least from my playthrough, was just missile barrages. Mostly cause they just keep chasing once locked and fired and the helis have zero juke to them.

I'm partially through the new game ++ experience and my answer to the bs fights is the bs combination of 2 appertivs and 2 songbirds. Most of the annoying things die in one rotation of firing.
