You can - just select the wall and put it on whatever layer you want. Unless I don't understand the question.

Hi, would I create more layers or a multistory house? like A-Wall-1, A-Wall-2, A-Wall-attic for example. i'm just not sure how to do multilevel designs with ACA and i've looked at all the videos, thanks

Create a separate file for each level with consistent layer naming and then XREF the levels into another file to assemble a combined model of all levels.

thanks, that sounds complex, and it looks like Revit handles multilevel and foundation design all build in. i think that maybe the better tool for me.

Yep, that is true. Revit is much easier straight out of the box. The ACA set up I mentioned is also easy to setup but harder to manage the graphics aspect.

Why can't one assign a an existing layer to the wall style without having to create a layer key style?
@jeremyfranklin26316 жыл бұрын
you can rename the wall layer or move the walls to a different layer. But if you want future walls to be inserted on a specific layer, you have to tell ACA which layer that is. You're not creating a layer key, just modifying the existing one to refer to whatever layer you want ACA to use.
