Calculus, originally called infinitesimal calculus or "the calculus of infinitesimals", is the mathematical study of continuous change, in the same way that geometry is the study of shape and algebra is the study of generalizations of arithmetic operations. This course is for those who want to learn #calculus in depth as well as for machine learning enthusiasts. You will be learning most of the crucial concepts of calculus with comprehensive explanation.

Because this has nothing to do with Machine Learning. In fact it isn't only a basic course on high school level calculus. No taylor series, no differential equations. It's a misleading title and anyone interested in ML is wasting time watching this. It's of zero practical use.

The title states "for beginners" I am a complete novice and have never touched this area of maths before and the pace in my opinion was absolutely perfect, if it was too fast and I couldn't keep up, I would look elsewhere, so just want to say, and it's purely my opinion. Thank you so much. I have never been into maths, since I am language teacher and translator, but I decided to give it a try with the maths background I have from my school days and I have to say you are making miracles here! It's not that scary and it's not so difficult i mind devoted to communication, arts and music could not grasp. There are not limits for human minds. Most of the times we are ourselves the hindrance with our fears and uncertainties. Professor Leonard is another fantastic teacher whom I recommend here on KZbin for you to review these same concepts in his videos too. It is always better to get to see it, twice, three times. It is a habit I bring from the language learning.

While I like videos like this, the slow handwriting and pausing in between are annoying. This needs some major editing to bring down the 11hrs to 3-4 hrs of actual useful content. While in college they have no option but to write on the blackboard, they do it faster. Look into Khan Academy/Neso Academy, they write much faster. No point in wasting time watching you write out every alphabet. Use slides and write on them when explaining key points. Let the basic points be typed out. Saves a lot of time for the learner. Edit: This is a very very good explanation, just too slow.

I know nothing about calculus. I thought this was for beginners. Should I study something else before I try to understand this. I couldn't understand anything that was said. It was way over my head. When I finished high school all I had was basic math. They never taught algebra. I had never heard of it. I did hear of a new math. I have always wondered why they didn't teach me that. The nuns skipped me from grade 6 to the 9. I never knew why.

The formulA method is still being for trigo calculus. It is of no use. Neither the list of integral nor derivatives is if any use for trigo functions It gives wrong answers. So students are advised to follow the diagram ...ethood. This example is sufficient to show the method followed is wrong. Integrate sinx from 0 to 2pi 0 to 4 pi 0 to 6pi 0 to 8 pi. Check the answers. Find the mistake. These functions represent areas of different sizes but by formula method you get the sa.e size. Tell your to change the method.

Professor Academic Lesson, thank you for an exceptional video/lecture on Calculus for Beginners full course/Calculus for Machine Learning. The problems and examples are excellent, however there are errors in this KZbin video. At the 10:41:42 minute mark, when you integrate 1 divided by x dx, you have the ln of x plus C instead of the ln of the absolute value of x plus C. At the 10:45:00 minute mark when you integrate x raised to the n dx, you get x raised to the n plus one divided by n plus one plus C instead of x raised to the n plus one divided by n plus one plus C and n not equal to negative one. At the 10:46:48 minute mark, for examples three and four, please add equal signs after you integrate. Please correct these errors in the video.

Can you imagine if Newton came up with new version of calculus each 6 months.. The way these guys come up with new version of JavaScript Library each 6 months? Thanks to the over rated nerds from I don't know! People would be like wait 6 more months before we have new version of Calculus! My point is Education or version of some product should be as constant as good. New version kind of raises red flag to me. So what does it mean version 1 was Bull Crap??

Why isn't the Vavg equation ( the final point in time - the initial point in time)? The other equations have all followed the( last point - the first point)?

If you're having issues with the speed and pacing, adjust the payback speed to 1.25. I found it impossible to follow along without getting bored because they were moving so slowly until I sped it up.

The lesson is great but unfortunately your voice is annoying and I think something is trapped in your throat. You should throw away anything from your throat first.
