This is very very well done! Thank you and congratulations to all the performers, who brought out the plangent qualities of Purcell’s amazing abilities in using minor mode music to send icy chills down the spine … which contrasts beautifully with his triumphantly jubilant and assertive major-key writing … I loved too the “incredible graces” of the vocal soloists! AND the recording is excellent too: in fact probably the best performance to date!
