Love the random Ian noises behind your thought out explanations.

This not how ships were fot on they they use black powder pistols and rifles and sabers only on whaling boats did this type of combat this how I know hema is not a real martial art just people trying to scam people in to believing that it is it's not go practice Chinese martial arts is much better it will work in real life combat

I find it odd that this looks like a massive amount of fun while also making me _extremely_ grateful that I will never have to participate in a 19th-century boarding action. 😂

Would love to see a mock infantry fight like this. Interesting to see how command can break down and needs to be quickly reformed.

I feel like a second best locale for this could be a pirate themed playground during hours kids are not likely to be there.

I wonder how applicable this would have been to boarding actions in a medieval or renaissance context?
@AcademyofHistoricalFencing9 күн бұрын
Very much so. The only significant difference is that shields were used in some eras and contexts, and armour also.

@AcademyofHistoricalFencing would be interesting to see someone with a montante. Some of the sources talk about using them for galley boarding actions
