Hi! Clean hit to a deep target (torso or the head) -2 points, clean hit to a shallow target (legs or arms incl. hips & shoulders) -1 point, double hit (both simultaneous and afterblow) -no points to either fencer except when referees call priority of riposte or priority of deep target over the legs. Priority of riposte -if one fencer hits his opponent with a riposte after a valid (successful) parry and the second hits with a redoublement or renewal, the fencer hitting with a riposte gets full points for the target area and the other hit is invalid. Priority of deep target over legs -if one fencer hits a deep target (head or torso) and the other hits legs, 1 point is awarded to the fencer that hit the deep target and the other hit is invalid. Duels in finals are up to 7 points, bout time is up to 3 minutes plus last exchange. In case of a draw there is 1 minute additional time interrupted by the first clean hit. If there is still a draw after additional time, fencer with less penalties wins.
