The video “Why is Modern Man so Weak and Powerless?” by the Academy of Ideas, drawing on Carl Jung’s insights, presents a compelling argument about the modern power dynamics between the ruling class and the citizenry. The central thesis is that the true divide in society is not between political left and right, but between the rulers and the ruled. This divide has reached pathological levels, leading to a form of modern slavery where the ruling class, suffering from psychological inflation, exerts overwhelming control over a weakened and powerless citizenry. Jung’s concept of psychological inflation is particularly illuminating. It describes how individuals in power extend their egos beyond healthy limits, identifying with their titles and roles to the point where they believe the power associated with these roles resides within themselves. This leads to a dangerous sense of omnipotence and detachment from reality. The ruling class, inflated with a sense of God-Almightiness, projects their repressed weaknesses onto the citizenry, viewing them as inferior and justifying their dominance. On the other hand, the citizenry suffers from psychological deflation, a contraction of personality where individuals lose touch with their potential and become overly dependent on the state. This deflation leads to a dangerous feedback loop: the more the citizenry projects their repressed will to power onto the ruling class, the more empowered the rulers become, and the more powerless the citizens feel. The video argues that to break this cycle, individuals must recognize and cultivate their personal power. This can be achieved through self-improvement, setting and achieving personal goals, and emulating powerful role models. Additionally, humor and ridicule can be powerful tools to disarm the ruling class, as tyrants fear being mocked more than anything else. In essence, the video calls for a societal shift where individuals reclaim their power and autonomy, challenging the pathological power dynamics that have led to modern man’s perceived weakness and powerlessness. This is not just a psychological battle but a social and political one, requiring a collective effort to restore balance and ensure a free and empowered society.

technological acceleration has resulted in not mere explosion in surplus food energy and services, but surplus informational abundance about many states , static and dynamic, that were not previously recordeable let alone processable. we have a new explosion of something beyond what can be recognized as 'bureacracy'. the nazis and other totalitarians like the u.s. were known for their records. what are we known for now? what you failed to address is that a new omnipotence arises from new magical technological structures. these are as new as FIRE was. and they are still unfolding. in particular, a wave of biological and reproductive technologies will begin to screen out compromised and more 'sick' fetuses from being born to those who can afford these technologies. more women over 40 years old will also have the capacity for child production. the 'rich' and ruling class'es biggest danger is that their ego will get LAZY and addicted to pleasure, just as much as the lower classes. if they use their technolgoical powers judiciously, they will be able to cement themselves a totalitiarnism never thought possible. indeed, this is quite likely the outcome after the next set of political and financial dislocations, where a battle of power at the top eschelons of elite, leaves those who are smarter and stronger and able to have a longer term view of totalism rather than those who are degenerate. no doubt, this new elite will recruit to themselves a set of servants who will be well treated as well. litterally, these new elites and the technological acceleration WILL make them of a new 'breed'.

The allegory in Richard Matheson's novel "The Incredible Shrinking Man" describes the individual as no longer being able to stand on his own. We are now dependent on systems and specialists for every aspect of our lives, and this requires submitting to and accepting its rules. Man has shrunk down to a cog in the machine. The author H.G. Wells predicted our great sport Stadiums, not for recreation, but as an outlet for our instinctual nature to belong to a tribe or community in which he matters. This artificial and shallow substitute for meaning and purpose does not fill the empty void in modern man's soul.

Here's a ChatGPT summary: - The video suggests that the true societal divide is not political but between the rulers and the ruled, with a growing power disparity leading to a form of modern slavery. - Carl Jung's concept of psychological inflation is used to describe the ruling class's pathological condition, where they over-identify with their power and titles. - Susan Fisk's research identifies five core social motives essential for well-being, most of which require personal power. - Power is necessary for self-enhancement and forming healthy relationships, as emphasized by Bertrand Russell and Frederick Douglass. - The video argues that the West is moving towards state slavery, where the state controls citizens' lives, limiting autonomy and freedom. - Psychological inflation among the ruling class leads to a belief in their omnipotence, while psychological deflation among the masses results in a loss of personal power. - Projection is a defense mechanism used by both the ruling class and the citizenry, with the ruling class projecting their flaws onto the ruled, and the citizenry projecting their repressed will to power onto leaders. - The feedback loop of projections empowers the ruling class and disempowers the citizenry, paving the way for totalitarian control. - The video suggests that citizens must take responsibility to counter state slavery by cultivating personal power and using humor to disarm the ruling class. - Main message: The video argues that the increasing power disparity between the ruling class and the citizenry is leading to a form of modern slavery, and it is up to individuals to reclaim personal power and resist totalitarian control.

@@Devva03Religion is the art of exploiting the deepest unconscious fears and drives, and therefore the perception of reality itself, through manipulation of our natural subconscious processes, imagery, pattern-recognition, language associations, etc. We do not experience reality directly, but an internal model of reality built from our filtered perceptions, a storyline that seems consistent within its own context. Whoever controls language controls the narrative; whoever controls the narrative controls perception; whoever controls perception controls behavior; whoever controls behavior controls reality, and everything we depend on for our continued existence. It is much easier to fall victim to tactics that are not understood and therefore are either accepted without question or dismissed without understanding their operation. Religion in some form has always been and will always be an expression of our innate human need to understand our place in the universe, which we cannot feel fully alive and safe without - disregarding this truth is only an abdication of our own power to understand our own higher perceptions, yielding that power to others who will gladly step into that void, create an illusion of their own relevance, and exploit that power over our inherent need for group identity to establish their own narrative to influence the masses around us, and therefore the social "water" we "swim" in ; even if we ourselves choose not to "believe in" the narrative we are still obligated by it through our inability to escape its influence. This has been the connective thread running though the tapestry of all of human history, sometimes for good but mostly not. It has woven flags, and weapons of warfare, and chains, and false justifications for atrocity that we continue to abide by, despite our "scientific" denial of our susceptibility, until we find ourselves now enrapt in a straightjacket - or a burial shroud - of consequences, thinking all the while that we were being fitted for the robes of royalty and sainthood. "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will order your life and you will call it Fate." -C.G.Jung Carl Jung came to his most profound understandings about the nature of the human mind through study of religion and myth. Such a great video and educational as well as informative. I have not watched enough of this channel; I learned a lot from just this video. I do wonder though, how would some of these theories apply to a society, specifically the United States currently, where in fact, each separate faction not only think of themselves as "right" or correct in their belief that the other side is the one trying to become the totalitarians, who are the ones who manipulate and control those who believe in what either side is being told to believe. In essence, that they both point the finger at each other, saying the same thing about the other, while very often, never taking a look at why they have been led to think in such a way or even try to see the other side's perspective or views, just always playing the game of believing that the other is "projecting" itself onto the one side or another they point the finger at? It reminds me of something we used to say as kids whenever someone told us something mean or nasty, we would respond by saying "I am rubber and you are glue, whatever you say, bounces off of me and sticks to you". Hard to get people to realize the mass manipulation, that is so much easier today, with many of the ultra-powerful, ultra-wealthy, having control of so many means of information distribution, mainly social media and television.

In return they own us and dictate to us what do to, where to be and how long we need to work each day, driving us to burnout and chronic stress. I dont think this is simply just a modern man phenomena. Man was always powerless, in fact, arguably more so in the past when life was actually difficult and starvation and disease were much more commonplace. It is just a fact of life on earth, we are all powerless to a large degree. If you believe in a god or the heavens, then the only true way to not be in a state of powerlessness is to exist in the heavens and not on earth.

DAILY READ Oath this is a journey of 100 days of practice. This is a communal structure specifically designed for men in this modern time, each suggestion specific for the challenges of this modern time. I Britton Valle, promise, on my honor, to be true to these agreements laid down below; I promise this on behalf of my existing family, Summer & my future children. I do this to gather , strengthen and inspire my soul tribe, it is through my embodied commitment to these values that I may lead by example and gather the necessary energy for the higher vision. BLOOD COMMITMENTS ( Print in ink, sign with blood ) 1. I will not engage with pornographic images AT ALL, this damages the ability to experience joy in simplicity, it feeds the monster that pisses on that which is sacred. 2. I will not browse instagram or Facebook. This means no getting on aimlessly. This distraction/destruction habit is as destructive as meth, it drains the soul of essence. 30 min session once a day can be used to identify KZbin videos and download, look at instagram followers stories/pages/check messages. Posting is allowed freely but no checking responses except during that time. (This includes KZbin) 3. Ejaculation will be consolidated to Sundays, the importance of this is in not draining life force, which is necessary to build and have to fulfill the task at hand of regenerating the world. 4. Cellphone use-do not get online until 7 am-turn off service and get phone out of sight & out of mind (different room) by 7. Let’s aim for this and stay aware of how this is going. Providing sufficient darkness, sufficient “cave” time” , time to stretch , connecting calmly in zen space. 5. Food tracking-to really have an awareness of the effects these choices have on my biochemistry and to share the journey of these choices, while it can seem like much (historically) to track this , let’s aim for this. 6. Enlightenment practice-this is a universal practice designed to positively cultivate the energy of the whole being. 7. Plant medicine, coffee, cacao, greentea are for ceremonial use-Sundays only, track this. (Can do other day in place of Sunday if it works out better for conditions) Find the most powerful rythyms and refine. (Don’t need to read this part everytime) Sing/sound dance/move Meditation/stillness/nap/breath/visualize Write/journal/scribe Read/reflect/affirmation Walk/jog/run/skip Muscle (for this, big body movements are ideal for this time block, feel free to spit up sets throughout the day) Art/instrument (Continue reading) Pray upon wake, before sleep, before meals, 3 deep breaths, then creative prayer , programming consciousness(get into heart) Use intuition in all things, remember you are the hero, this program is to cultivate readiness for thy destiny! You are a timeless being, here to fulfill your contribution to oneness. You are a prophet of the light, cultivate this channel, now. Subtract what detracts , support what uplifts! Take daily photo in the mirror to add to the journal section for the purpose of reflecting on the 100 days. The intention is to gather the disciples of this path and to have this practice be the cultural glue that bonds us together. Check in everyday with community through social, share what’s helpful at the level of public then share deeper on KZbin , and more deeper through a paywall. Consequence for not following through on this practice portion of this soul promise, is to paint a finger nail 💅 one nail for every part missed, until it fades For slipping on porn, social media, ejaculation, stimulants I would say a burn with preheated hot metal (end of fork?) +Public acknowledgment. The reward for being a disciple of the sun Is to be fully human, to occupy space fully, to let go of the lower to allow the higher. To have real sex/connection rather than sex with screen, even if that includes multiple companions, better for it to be in real life than wasted on an artificial screen. This is all in dedication in bringing the glory of god in and through human for the behalf of all.
