I has a small job position in the 80s and a Machiavellian used to pick on me constantly, overwork me and belittle me. I finally complained about him and her. They had to move me to another department, my little job was just filing papers and answering the phone. After they moved me to another department, I could believe that they made their way to actually work in that department after a month. I was a single mother at the time with a 2-year-old child. I eventually quit, and I found another job working at a movie theater. I didn't like the position they gave me at the theater, but, it was a job and I didn't have to deal this those monsters ever again. Eventually, I went back to school and received my degree. I hope and pray I never work with people like that again.

The sad truth is that corporate America like these types of people 😕 Upper management tend to get rid of the decent person. And when things fall apart, they realize the truth.

And some company structures encourage Dark Triad behavior. A place where I once worked had a performance review system where everyone was supposed to judge the performance of their peers. Perfect for bringing out the worst in people.

I suppose mine was a machivellian aka malignant narcissist/psychopath hybrid.
@peace-now2 жыл бұрын
I have had all these three types: 1. The Narcissist. This guy is always boasting and is the least problematic of the three. He will take credit for what you do. 2. The Machiavellian. This guy is by far the worst. You will not spot him, and think of you as a friend. Suddenly you are in big trouble and may lose your job, He has spoken to the powers, and removed you. He is the assassin. 3. The Psychopath. This guy is obvious. He may or will become violent at some time. He is very aggressive and argumentative. He is the enforcer.

Good that you clearly set them apart and specially identify the Machiavellian one. Be careful of him, have a plan as you said he is the worst and probably the nicest person. It's annoying how they get their way and people don't even realize.

What i wish we realized is that everyone has some of these dark triad traits in them and that we learned more about the light triad traits in ourselves.

If a person questions rules & authorities installed by the dark triad, will that count as a red flag?
@Raage.2 жыл бұрын
Questioning rules is not a red flag. Especially if they're not efficient or hurt the company as a whole.

This is all too simplistic. People are more unique, subtle, and different from each other than this video describes. It's dangerous to our culture to type cast people and single out groups for shunning or punishing. Autistic people sometimes seem to have similar characteristics to your so-called "dark triad," for example. Also, you are using well established labels that are under the purview of psychiatric professionals and therapists. We can't despise or single these people out just because we don't like their non-violent behavior. Teach them, if it's so important to you; don't brand them and cast them out.

So the quote is for the dark triads. Because they are the ones who decide whome to promote or not. I bet you can never identify a dark triad. They are sharp as tack and water like who can shape to anything at anytime to become unnoticeable.

Challenging rules and authority is regarded as a red flag in this video. Does it mean our day to day rules or the rules made by the dark triad?

@@jarrodyuki7081 The Cult from American Horror Story already fulfilled that fantasy! I thought you were drafting up some kind of new world order in which the narcissists collapse into chaos and the disordered libertarians decree to usher away the last remnant of civilization before sacrificing their own lives out of spite for their hypocrisy. Wouldn't it feel great to openly purge the earth of talentless and useless people without any moral consequences? Their ideologies and practices have become a predictable nuisance that only benefits them. I would welcome a return to survival of the fittest and no more consumerism and no more strength in numbers and cooperation- just every man for himself in this stacked rat race. Bred to be a cutthroat individualist- divide and conquer is how thrive in a dog eat dog world. In the jungle creed, one rule is supreme; and the strongest feed on any prey it can. The true apex predator will be the unleashed beast formerly known as Man.
