The large majority of people can't give up a bag of chips or a sweet. While grocery shopping can't walk past foods that are not good for them yet many don't have compassion or understanding that someone as addicted to blues as Martian can just get it together or stop. I have great empathy for Martain and I hope he chooses him one day, fight hard to live, and one day can look back to say I made it to the other side. His story will change lives no matter how it goes. Many people will never touch a drug after seeing how it has ruined Martian's life. No matter what happens he can say that he changed lives by being brave enough to allow the world to see him at him worst. Many addicts hide in the shadows and are very secretive while using. Martin deserves respect for allowing the world to see this journey. Keep praying for Martin and his recovery.

I'm an alcoholic who relied on public transit (the light rail 🚈 in the Phoenix area). Once I got that responsibility, I didn't want to turn my car into a weapon. (DUI was something i was terrified of). That was after months of telling mental health providers, "I'll quit tomorrow." Martin, you are a handsome man, worn out, certainly tired, but with good care all that will be repaired. You are a beautiful soul, please take care of yourself, restore your health and get back in control, perhaps by helping others who knows? You deserve to take charge of your life

I think Martins biggest addiction is his wife! He’s always worried about her and what man she’s with I think that’s a huge reason he won’t leave as well

They have a codependent relationship she is his legs that he don't have. She can bring the drugs to him keeping him dependant on her. That's how she controls him and it hurts Martin but he can't do anything without her so he's convinced himself of that. It's a toxic relationship..
