Nice one Walt. I tried an Alpine race in rF2 last night but sadly I got DQd before the lights went green! It was a night race, and I forgot to switch my lights on at the grid! 🤦🏻‍♂️ Will have another try this evening… hopefully it’ll be a daylight race!

I’ve just qualified to bronze on LFM too. I couldn’t see any daily bronze races, so turned to KZbin. Stumbled upon your channel. I finally got told you can enter the IRON races. It’s really not clear. You kept me watching the whole video, which is rare. I thought u had caused the pile up too, the replay analysis works well. Max effort on your part, very polished, praise well deserved. Hope to see you on track.

@@jcullingworth7911 I was equally as confused when I finished my 10th rookie race. Was expecting an Iron licence so I could race in the GT3 Sprint, but then thought I couldn’t when I saw I’d been given a bronze one. After a bit of searching, I found on the website that Bronze was a rank above. I haven’t done the Oulton Park race yet this week, but I’m aiming to before the weekend. I’ll keep an eye out for you on track!

I went on last night to try another race, but I got a DQ on the start line - it was a night race, and I didn’t switch my headlights on! Gonna give it another go this evening 👍

Ahh nice one, thanks, I had no idea about that. I downloaded a setup from KZbin and that one was set at TC 5. I was still getting a few too many slides on so I thought I’d up it to 6 to try and feel a bit more stable. Had no idea it’s a wet weather setting!!

I usually run 8 but will drop it down to 4-5 for hair pins and slow corners! keep at it! Luke Addison has some M4 setups you can download for free. They are on the older side but still work. I’d be glad to send you some as well

The BMW giving the position back at the McLaren. Nice gesture but that would never happen in real racing. Don’t know if its possible programming wise but a penalty for causing a collision would be a better thing. Lewis didn’t retire his car in Silverstone last year after Max was in the wall. He got 10 seconds 🙊😅 Gentleman thing to do but a bit much in my book. Would give back position if the car was close. These things are just part of racing and do happen in real life too. Congratulations on the bronze and great to see the BMW

Yeah, I appreciate I’m in the minority for wanting to wait if I’ve punted someone off. It definitely wouldn’t happen in real life racing, mainly because there’s money involved - salaries, commissions, team contracts, sponsorship deals etc etc. However sim racing is purely fun and escapism for the vast majority of us, so I would always happily wait if I’ve taken someone out because of a mistake I’ve made. Thankfully it doesn’t happen too often for me though! Although I bet I’ve jinxed myself now, saying that 🤣

@@chrisrogerssimracing thanks been playing DIRT5 Wreckfest and wrc10 they are all good game but i need a gear shifter that compatible with ps5 and i need a ebrake for i can turn faster but other then that its fun and interesting
