@orangejuice1144 Yet Butch Davis found a way to win without cheating. One of the few Miami coaches worthy of respect.

Great game Full of NFL future pros . Gosh I miss these years of college football and basketball ,it was so much competitive back then and they weren't getting these NIL deals that these current players are getting today . Can you imagine the money that Chris Webber,Warren Sapp,Warrick Dunn,Charlie Ward,Jalan Rose,Rocket Ishmael,Desmond Howard,Tyrone Wheatley,Rashaan Salaam ,Gino Torretta,Derrick Brooks,Rasheed Wallace etc coulda made while they were in college . Like the flick the Program brought out,that these schools make 5 to 10 million back then ! just for goin to a Bowl game or the NCAA tournament ..

All those names you mentioned should get a check, because these big time programs are still living off of their legacy and making even more profits from them now.

Damn...nothing like the old FSU- Miami rivalry. The intensity of those games and the talent that was on the field was unbelievable.

As someone who had been watching fsu for about a decade at the point of this game. It was first time i knew miami couldn't beat. And had zero chance of doing so. 97 was the same way. And the only 2 times in my life i knew victory was a certain. Only noles fans back then. Know what a big deal it was to feel that way. After basically a decade of heartbreak. And at best only hoping we could win. They were literally the evil empire! And a much bigger rival then florida too me. Because Florida hadn't cost us a few nattys

I love that the ACC DN is reviving old content, immortalizing it on the internet! I'm building up a nice playlist of all these classics, it's a lot of fun to take a trip down memory lane sometimes.. love it!

The football players back then were much bigger than today's football players. Interesting!
@paulanding79042 жыл бұрын
I think the padding was much bigger then, giving the illusion of the players being bigger. But I definitely like the 90s look better than today's sausage casing jerseys and nearly no padding.

This game was the end of the loud, obnoxious, in-your-face Miami. They came back a few years later of course, but those teams did all their talking on the field.

They cut out a nice 2-min drill, scoring drive at the end of the half.. the score was 17-7, the noles are driving with 1m45s and the vid just fades into the kickoff of the second half, with noles up 24-7.. that's... curious.
