I just realized this. So Shirako's car is supposed to be from japan, right? Well its not just that the driver's seat is on the right side, as in Acceleracers: Speed of Silence, right before he enters the water realm, the in-car computer's keyboard has japanese kanji characters instead of the QWERTY key layout over here in the west. It's hard to see, but it's another example of precise attention to detail Acceleracers had. A shame they cancelled the fifth movie. There's actually an unreleased promo that people are still searching for. Hopefully it'll pop up someday. Maybe even the film itself, as it's rumored to have been made, just not released due to sony aquiring the rights and sone lyrics in a song. Something along those lines.

dude, really? the attention to detail in this show is AMAZING! btw, i always loved the seen that plays when the driver enter the water and storm realms yes, i heard about! there was a lot of discussion about that on the subreddit a while ago. hopefully some info about it pops up soon...

Something I love about the guava juice scene. The way skeet shifts gears is a legit race tactic for those using manual shift, it's called double clutching. If you hit the clutch just as you change gears, you can get a little friction to help launch faster into that next gear, they even talk about it in The Fast and the furious. I just find it so cool that they decided the one character obviously using manual transmission would be using a real advanced racing technique thats a little obscure but totally legitimate

There’s actually 4 different drivers whose nicknames are based on geological places. Krakota(Volcano in Indonesia), Scorchers; Everest(Highest point on Earth), Scorchers; Vesuvius(The Pompeii Volcano), Scorchers; and Mojave(The Mojave desert), Dune Ratz.

Jeff Gomez had this to say in the AMA a few months after this video came out. _”I loved Esmerelda’s character and had big plans for her. But she was diminished in the first series and I lost control of her character in Acceleracers. I do believe your theories about her and Krakatoa thought!”_ Imagine if we saw this plot thread. Jeff commented somewhere that she was going to contest for leadership of the Roadbeasts in her character arc but didn’t get to show it. Acceleracers kinda did this with Markie & Tork in “Breaking Point.”

If only she was in Acceleracers. Hopefully whoever the kids are working on the fan-based sequels decide to animate it and throw her in at some point. She was very much of a main character in the World Race. More so than some of the others that got put in. Also curious as to if the original writers had plans to do so.

In the World Race, most of the drivers wanted the Wheel of Power. Esmeralda, on the other hand, wanted Krakatoa's big stiffie, while Krakatoa wanted Esmeralda's pretty pink flower made of flesh.

I like to think that after the World Race, Krakatoa and Esmeralda just drove into the sunset together, Esmeralda became an action movie actress and Krakatoa became an action movie director, then they bought a mansion, they retired from show business early, sold the mansion, bought a cottage, and lived together in that cottage for the rest of their lives

I would have loved to see a spin-off World Race movie that focused on Esmeralda and Krakatoa's love story, as a romantic drama mixed with action movie since I can imagine a yandere driver being a threat for Esmeralda and Krakatoa to fight against. By the way, it's rare these days for a romantic drama movie to be made.

it really depends. videos with commentary take a lot longer than those without it. i have to write up a script and everything, and if i’m not satisfied it may go through multiple rewrites. i’d day it takes a week max to write up a script, and then a couple more days to edit and record the video c:
