Of coarse the faster you go the lower the horizontal force, at some point your foot swing will maxout and you will no longer be able to apply additional force to your speed as your speed has maxed out.

Brilliant video, I was thinking about this the other day. What about running up ramps. I have been running up 30-meter ramps in empty car parks starting from a block position. I think this training definitely helps with acceleration. Deep lunges also help with max acceleration. High knees and quick jumps help me with max speed/velocity. I try to stay away from training with weights as I naturally bulk and adding weight to my body might be counterproductive.
