We use an exclamation mark to express more emotion and a comma to express less emotion.

thanks for your video. Can you make a detail video to show how to do word intonation mid-sentences. Most of intonation video focus on intonation of the ending of a sentence, it's easier. You had done a good job explaining intonation mid-sentence, but perhaps native English speakers can not distinguish emphasize and the rising intonations, (maybe I misunderstood the two). So I got confused. for example, kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZy7oneVd52koK8 ， when you pronounced 'Sure thing', it sounds like you emphasized 'thing'(higher pitch), but you marked 'thing' as a rising intonation. (so how to pronounce the content words mid-sentences, I should pronounce '\stop' or '/stop', '\Starbucks' or '/Starbucks','\love' or '/love', '\get' or '/get','\hot' or '/hot', why? are there a rules? ) thanks

In the middle of the sentence it is not called intonation. It's called word stress. We stress important words and it depends on the idea you are trying to express. Thanks for watching.
