As I am not a native English speaker, I may have still a slight accent. I have worked on my accent myself and that's why I find it effective to explain other foreign speakers what to do in order to improve their accent - having gone through this process myself:)

I certainly have one about stress that should be ready soon! In the meantime check out the video about the Schwa. It talks about stress in words (and it's also very relevant for stress in sentences).

I gotta train the "t" sound much. Whenever I listen to myself speaking English it´s one of the things I hate most in my speaking.

BTW this one, was just fantastic! Stress is such an interesting topic.. Can you explain a little bit more about stress in sentences? I mean like knowing when to stress words during sentences? I don't know if I am making my self clear with what I want haha But anyway thank you!

I do agree, stress in pronunciation is elemental

Hi! I think you misspelled "platonic" with "plotonic" on 1:36. Otherwise, it's a very helpful and insightful video. Love it!

Hi, Hadar. Very useful vid. I read that the t is not aspirated after the s as in stop, stay or before a w as in twist. Please, tell us about it.

Hi ! ... I've noticed that the Shwa sound is quite the same as the short I. So I wonder if could use them interchangeably! Thanks in advance ✌
@hadar.shemesh6 жыл бұрын
No, they're not the same. The tongue is in a different position. However, agent he I sound appears in a secondary stressed position is it often reduced to a Schwa, and then it's interchangeable

Hey, very informative lesson. Thank you. Although, I am new here and I have a question. Shouldn't it be [fanˈtastik] with more 'a' in the first part of the word?

hello teacher, this is mohammad asif from india .i just wanted to know how to pronounce the word 'THWART'.thank you teacher and yes one more thing your pronunciation videos are awesome and these videos are helping me..........irreplaceable
@hadar.shemesh10 жыл бұрын
Thank you dear:) Happy you find it helpful. I'll try to make a video on 'thwart', but in the meantime - think of the word 'war' with a /t/ at the end and just add a /th/ sound before (the tongue has to stick out for that) so it's thth-war-t
@TheAsifansariable10 жыл бұрын
oh that was so simple,yeah i got it............thank you teacher.....

I will use this video to show my Spanish-speaking friends how to do a proper aspirated T. I did notice that you aspirated your second T in "fantastic". Was that unintentional? :P

how to pronounce often and if there's a difference between its pronounciation in american and british accent
@hadar.shemesh8 жыл бұрын
+Eman Badr Hey, thanks. Good idea, many people ask me about this word. The one thing I can say (before making a video) is that it's ok to pronounce it with and without the T both is AMerican and British. of-t'n and of-f'n
