totally get the decision about diving. i had the same choice with xc and track going into college and i realized i had other individual goals like running a marathon which i wouldnt be able to do if i were doing a sport. but it was so so hard and i definitely miss it very often

i’m also in the same boat with sports!! i recently quit gymnastics and i’ve done it for 10 ish years, and i’m feeling the exact same as you. it’s been a few weeks and while i’ve definitely gone back and forth and felt a little guilt, i know it’s what is best for me. i also know i wouldnt have been able to bring myself to make the decision if it wasn’t what was meant for me. the change is scary but it’s been so good so far, so know that change is good :) i’m also glad to know others go through the same thing!
