I always try to spread this message on the internet. People are always bullying people because they’re different or not “normal”
@mattmccullough10932 жыл бұрын
But what does that have to do with who you are what kind of a person you are that's judging Somebody by the contact of their character not by what they look like or Not by how normal they are.

I know this applies to every day - but this message seems so timely! I like how you put tie in the assessments into radical acceptance.

thanks Megan! When we're living as close as we are to our families RADICAL ACCEPTANCE is key! We've been having fun doing every personality profile online we can find. The Enneagram has been especially helpful in figuring out why each of us is feeling/wanting certain things. Appreciate the comment!

What about those who you don't even know? I immediately become judgmental when I see person dressed a certain way, driving with loud blasting music, or who are not considerate of their surroundings or of others. I really need help in this area.

Who you are and what kind of a person you are has nothing to do with what you look like that's completely two different conversations two different situations. People are not different based on the color of their skin and what they look like that just makes us look different and believing that people are different based on what they look like it's the wrong kind of change the last time people thought that way we had a civil rights movement. are we really dumb enough to let history repeat itself. Judging Somebody by who they are is not the as judging Somebody by the color of their skin or what they look like. When you judg Somebody by who they are you are judging them by the contact of their character.

In all seriousness, this is hard to do as most just want people to see if "Their" way. However, as Adam says, the more you can practice accepting people, the better your life will be. Thanks AC

Great stuff Shane. And yes, it is incredibly hard to grasp if you're only willing to see it "your" way. Hope you're doing awesome!

Judging Somebody by who they are and what kind of a person they are has nothing to do with what they look like has nothing to do with how normal they are has nothing to do with whether they're mentally challenged or not that has to do with the contact of their character that is completely two different subjects.

How do you accept people for as they are when not everybody is a good person there is nothing wrong with judging somebody for who they are and what kind of a person they are because not everybody is a good person.
@MistyBleu Жыл бұрын
You don't have to accept everyone or anyone at all. Just don't harbor any negative emotions or thoughts against someone. Choose to become an observer and remind yourself that it's not your place to judge anyone. If you can't think or say anything nice about someone (because to you they are "wrong" or "bad" ) don't say or think anything then. Observe them and their actions and simply move on with your day. Try to emulate the phrase "Live and let live". 🧡

Who you are and what kind of a person you are has to do with the contact of your character. Not the color of your skin or what you look like and it's racist to think that it does and our history has shown that time and time again are history is supposed to teach us things so we don't repeat it we're supposed to learn from our history to grow to become better people I can't believe we're going backwards.

What if your son’s mother is absolutely none of these because she has zero life goals/ambitions other than doing drugs and being a bum? What personality is that? Some other characteristics are zero logic/reasoning skills, terrible at spelling/grammar, unearned entitlement and unfathomable arrogance/attitude problems? Any idea how to accept someone like this? Or what the hell kind of personality this is other than just completely insane? Thanks.
@AdamCarrollSpeaker Жыл бұрын
Hey Zak, that sounds like a challenging situation to say the least. Have you heard of the Enneagram? (www.truity.com/test/enneagram-personality-test). This may help understand/accept why she is the way she is. I'm not a trained psychologist, but sounds like she has childhood wounds that need to be explored, healed, and some serious life-coaching afterwards. Good luck -- and I'd recommend picking up Gary John Bishop's book UnF*ck Yourself. There's a great bit in there about acceptance.
