This was an eye opener. Until I saw this, I imagined scammers call centres to be a few people in a room; not an organised purpose built suite of offices with dedicated manpower. If the organisers of these scam call centres out as much effort into legitimate work they’d be successful business people without the risk of jail time. It’s good to know that these scammers are security conscious, employing security guards and installing security cameras. What a hypocritical attitude. Exactly. Not only does he get to the root of what's happening, he treats them like people who are scammers. So many channels make fun of how they speak(broken english) and do a lot to dehumanize them, accidentally pushing a stigma that all Indian people are scammers. I've seen countless videos are scambaiters photoshopping them to make them look scary or inhuman. Or when putting up subtitles they spell how they speak, instead of just putting the words we know they are saying. I just really enjoy how serious he takes his job. A lot of people in the west have taken on this idea that everyone from India is scammers, and it seriously isn't the case. Anyways not to talk your ear off, I just wanted to share.

@pheresy13673 жыл бұрын
@@kiyawilson3520 It would awesome to see more Indians going after these scammers... cause there are plenty of Indians that are big fans of scambaiting and HATE what these scammers are doing to India's reputation. I'm very sensitive to the issue you have commented about... and in a less articulate way, I have commented about it too. I traveled extensively thru India back in the 70s and have a deep love for their (very diverse) culture(s). Many of those "photoshopped" images of "scammers" shown on scambait channels are MOSTLY not even images of actual scammers, but stock photos of helpdesk workers (probably are only models in reality), which I am very much against. Imagine being the person who posed for a picture wearing helpdesk headphones, then seeing it appear all over the internet as an object of hate and scorn. But, I may draw the line in a different place than you when pranking/tormenting/ridiculing a scammer....done in a fair way that doesn't automatically implicate their entire culture of origin. There is natural and undeniable humor arising from these sessions. That humor helps to brings me back repeatedly to these channels. Phonetically subtitling mispronounced English words is part of the humor, which is based on the fact that the scammer is trying SO HARD to sound "relatable" to win your confidence in order to drain your bank account, but failing on so many levels.... and lying about residing and working in USA, Australia or UK and occupying high-security positions of the IRS or Social Security Administration while communicating on a sub grade school level, it's not just making fun of their accent. To publically post any scambait sessions onto Ytube inherently feeds India's growing bad reputation regardless of how tactful you try to do it. But it also serves the public good alerting everybody and exposing their tricks, which we need! Driving them crazy, wasting their time, and humiliating them also is GREAT. No scammer should EVER have a comfortable time scamming. There should be NO GLORY in any of it. If that scammer sees themself on Ytube getting brutally ridiculed... it can be another straw on the camel's back. To me it's fair. But, I understand your view also. When the scamming STOPS, so will the scambaiters.
@kiyawilson35203 жыл бұрын
@@pheresy1367 I have absolutely no problem with scambaiters in the slightest. And I do understand the humor. I frequently watch several scambaiter channels, from Jim browning to scammer payback. It's just that many of the people I am surrounded by don't. I live in Louisiana, and many people here don't see the humor or try to understand that India is a beautiful diverse place. Many people don't have the chance to visit, and lack the willpower to do their own research. (Which imo they really should. Educating yourself is the best thing you can do. And its respectful to learn and understand other cultures) so I guess I'm just trying to say I respect the fact that this channel is so clear and cut about what they post. They keep in mind that they influence a wide range of people, and not everyone does their research.

Although it's fun to watch other scambaiters mess with scammers and waste the scammer's time - I find your videos & methods to be far more satisfying to watch and more effective. Clearly you are a mastermind in IT and I'm so happy to see you putting your mad skills to use for the good. I personally have zero problem with you destroying their data, call centers, systems, etc., because in doing so, you are making a way bigger dent in the scammer's ability to scam. I have an IT background & when they called my mom (who isn't tech savvy) a few years ago, they had her so afraid of losing all of my parent's business data. In fact, she was so freaked out she didn't even call me to run it past me. She gave them her credit card information, which they used right away. They definitely prey on the elderly population, since most elderly are not tech savvy and get intimidated easily. I just recently found the scambaiting community on KZbin, and I'm so glad I did. So she's giving me the Phone, and I was Just telling them that they shouldn't call a second time. I'm telling my mother that Microsoft, Amazon and Co Will NEVER call you. And all communication with them are in German. It's so funny and scary to find your Videos some month later and the Guy say really exact the same Words as to my mother. Heh heh.... I see your point and to a certain extent I agree! but... scambaiting is an ART as well as a craft. Kitboga has elevated it to high comedic performance art beyond anyone else's abilities. He psychologically destroys scammers... they are sometimes traumatized after being teased and tricked by him for days at a time.... He and Jim Browning are considered "the boogeymen" to scammers. "Scambaiter" is rapidly attaining that status too, as well as a few other notables. The art and craft of scambaiting is a moving target to get right. Everybody is upping their game and the bar is rising higher on both sides.
@gbguthrie25303 жыл бұрын
@@pheresy1367 The likes of Scambaiter, Jim Browning, Lewis' Tech, ScammerRevolts, ScammersGotDeleted actually set out to dish legitimate damage to the Scammers than to just waste their time for an audience to laugh at. Scammer Payback used to do this before he went the more entertainment route closer to Kitboga and DeeVeeAar. There's nothing wrong with either forms of Scambaiting, but it's infinitely more satisfying to see people get shutdown or go to prison than to just hear them yelling angrily for a few hours.

The problem here is legality. It's a lot safer to call up scammers and waste their time than to exploit weaknesses in the process to gain access to their machines and destroy the.
