@@breeayeezyI know, but Cooper's acting was something else: unique, nuanced, and it has so much range, especially the character development of Erik. Erik's character somehow feels more sociopathic and spine-chilling, especially at the end of episode 5 & the very last scene of their boat trip, where it was revealed that Erik was the mastermind out of these two characters. However, Lyle acts like a macho man who yells most of the time in the series.Besides, the series was good enough, even though it wasn't accurate.
@breeayeezyАй бұрын
@ they said at the beginning that it was Erik’s idea, nothing surprising revealed and idk I watched the 4th and 7th episode and Nick brought me chills and I almost cried, it was harder to watch this then the whole Dahmer series. The 5th ep. didn’t moved me like Nick’s performance did cuz “Erik” was just casually telling his story with a lil crying, I jus wanted to hug him but that’s it… Lyle was mirroring their father clearly and I loved it. With Erik… some times I saw the actor cooper (and i didnt knew nothing about the actor) and I didn’t liked it. For me I’m thinking what if Erik was portrayed by a straight actor…? I assumed that cooper was gay, I saw ppl saying “Nicholas is for the men😭😭” (I think they mixed up their names I assume now) as if girls were sad that he was gay but I was like wait so both actors are gay? And then while watching the show my twin googled cooper and he has a whole husband🤣 so my assumption about him were right. Seeing him in interviews, I didn’t know that he’s more fem gay and I could really see that in Erik and I didn’t liked it… I’m always like what if a straight actor had to play Erik🤔 Btw I thought at the beginning before starting the show that Nick played Erik and Cooper Lyle cuz I knew Lyle’s older and cooper looked older to me (totally forgot how the brothers looked when they were young, the “recent” mugshots of them were jus in my mind) so I switched the actors up🤣 and then before starting the show we found out that Cooper is only 3 yrs older than Nicholas lol but it was a great show for a non-serial killers. It’s so cool to see them take the notice and care to make things accurate and realistic, even if you have to make it more easily for a series. I appreciate that the show doesn’t really take too many sides, it doesn’t portray them as good boys but it doesn’t portray them as much more than traumatized, I think that’s what I love most about the monster seasons so far, it’s all the detail and attention taken to tell these stories without any coating, it’s raw; it’s violent, and it’s horrible. More shows should be brave enough to do that because it shows exactly how terrible and painful these things are for everyone involved, facing that pain in a way that’s engaging is incredibly important, because as we’ve seen, it can change the outcomes of the real cases and lives that had this happen to, I don’t think it’s biased, I think for some people it’s just too hard to face the terrifying truth, and people aren’t used to that. But once more people can then maybe we’ll finally do something as a country to FIX those outcomes, by facing it head on we can learn more, it’s more than entertainment, it’s reality, and there are no heroes.

I wouldn't say their characters portray the reality of the brothers relationship although can't deny the fact that these 2 actors did a fantastic job
@theyouth20003 ай бұрын
Love the actors' responses. They are being respectful and honest about true events and the brothers they are protraying, vs what's being dramatized in the show. I don't watch the mini series, not a fan of Hollywood's over dramatization of real events with subtexts, but knowing about it did help me find out more about the real events. I am supporting the Menendez brothers' release and I wish them the best of life with their families.

Episode 5, is why I want to call him "Super Cooper". I've been a fan of Nicholas Alexander Chavez since General Hospital. He's wiser than his birth certificate and just as sweet. When he opens up, it's intentional, not just jovial jibber jabber. I admire a man that can listen well and consider his words carefully. He probably picked it up during his years on the speech and debate team.

I’ve never heard of Nicholas before this show…but damn he is such AN INCREDIBLE actor. My god he brought so much raw intensity to the table through it this show, despite this show painting the brothers in such a bad light.. which I myself don’t appreciate.i couldn’t even tear my eyes away whenever Nicholas was on screen. He needs to be casted in more intense roles like this one.

I remember this when it happened. But I always believed that if this was sisters and not brothers, they would have never been convicted. Please look at the facts of this case and think about this. They were kids, but I do believe the abuse was real. Time have changed and they have served so many years.
