Good video of a system that is commonly used in the industry but it's not usually explained on training courses

Question, how do turfer systems handle pulleys? Is there a over stress on the pulley running over wire as opposed to rope? I’m talking standard rigging pulleys not cable blocks.
@AccessTechniques5 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't affect the strength of the pulley but it will wear the sheave rapidly. Petzl's Tandem Speed pulley has wear resistant sheaves specifically for use on cable.

Hello, what is the best way to get started in rope access? Also What are some good schools in the US you might know of? Thanks.

Man, I hope I get a response to this. This channel has been very educational for me (with all the climbing gear and stuff) but what is it you guys actually do? Like work on bridges or something?

They run a rope access training company that certifies students to the IRATA standards. Rope access techs use two rope techniques to work on difficult to access locations like bridges, wind turbines, Communications facilities, oil platforms, etc.

Why you don’t need friction carabiner

Was wondering the same thing
@TheModularDiver5 жыл бұрын
The two person load weight is distributed between both the descenders. So each descender only sees a one person load. Friction biners are required for two person loads.

Because he use 2 descender and all load onto the descender
